Wow, I've watched the movie "The Ten Commandments" more times than I can count, but it never meant to me what Mark's sermon did here. Just wow.

Motherhood isn't the only great career a woman can have, but it's a worthy one. After the babies are well established, then sure, get your degree or other work, contribute to the world in more ways. Child-raising doesn't have to be your only thing.

The parents of Moses were Amram and Jochebed. Her name is mentioned more than once in the bible.

If fathers share the work with mothers, if society supports mothers by allowing mothers and fathers to take paid parental leave like in many countries in Europe, mothers and fathers can have both a career and mother/fatherhood. Why did this pastor not demand this from his government?

Yes!! Well said. Also, a shorter work day so that families could more spend time together would support families. Since families create a society, ultimately society is making itself stronger whenever it strengthens families. Families look a lot different than they used to. In 2018, in order for a multicultural society to flourish, it needs to value and protect the family in its various 'shapes'. Then individuals, families, communities and nations will all flourish and the Hebrew-Christian god will be able to say of the earth he created: "It is good."
