Powerful message....took me 16 yrs of trying in my best efforts to be free from addiction and to be righteous. Finally on the brink of divorce I fully surrendered to Christ. The Word of God became so clear to me, everything made sense. I realized Jesus became sin so that I can become the righteousness of God in Christ. I realized I have a new identity in Christ. Not only did Christ free me from my addiction, but also from sin and the desire of it. He freed me from guilt shame and condemnation. He restored my marriage and freed my wife from resentment, bitterness and unforgiveness. I now understand the power of renewing your mind in the truth of God's Word and in your new identity in Christ. The real battle is to stay in rest in the finished work of God in Christ.
