Slainte! Fantastic version of this classic song. Salmon's Leap, Gaelic Storm, Cara Dillon and this version are my equal favourites of one of the most beautiful and under-rated love songs of all time.

wow! you're one of the members? wow great song! You really do justice to this irish traditional song. I love the way you guys play and the way your singers meld their voices together. Just listening to the song tugs at my heart at bring a tear to my eye. I can feel the love and the passion in the song. Well done! Very very wonderful work. I added this video to my favourites. It is so beautiful!

This is one of my favorite songs. Your arrangement is truly beautiful. I first heard it on Windham Hill's Celtic Christmas 3, as an instrumental piece by James McNally. His use of instruments and the way his arrangement begins with fewer instruments, then builds depth and complexity as more instruments are added, carries the listener on a sensual and haunting journey. When I discovered KZbin just a few weeks ago, this was one of the first songs I looked for.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I expecially like the harp in this song. Is there possibly an instumental version of this song, without vocals? The vocals are great as well, but to me, an instrumental version would be so much more soothing. The kind of song I'd listen to while lying in bed, to enable me to drift off into a peacful, pleasant sleep

I also love the harpist, Mark! This is DP, the lady who used you used to email back and forth with. Wish I could have gotten to the UK to visit you. Maybe some day! When are you coming to the Philadelphia area? Love, DP

The first time when I heard this lovely song had a place in Poland, in the some castle, 'ksiaz' perhaps. It was the concert of Lincolshire Youth Choir and Symphony Orchestra. Since then I was looking for this amazing ballade without any resoults. And now you give me this pleasure to listening it. You don't have any idea how much I am grateful. Please, tell me have you recorded and published your CD album? I wish to buy one and I'm intrested is it possible to deliver it to my place in Germany?

@lilypog: it's a low whistle. It *IS* a penny whistle on steroids, actually :-) Same fingering, easier to play than a flute, has a nice sound.

Hi there, have you found a singer for your band yet? or a lead instrumentalist? would you be interested in the instrumentalist being a fiddle player? We are based in Rugby, Warwickshire. I am a lead vocalist my partner plays fiddle. would you be interested in seeing us?

Pleasant enough and well executed. For me has nowhere the depth of emotion that Christy Moore puts across - but that's personal opinion for you : )
