I was born in a village which is famously regarded as the home of Markhor, the village of Lachipora in district Baramulla. And as a result, a wildlife sanctuary was commissioned by the name of Lachipora Wildlife Sanctuary. All my life until now, i have been hearing the stories of this majestic animal. Though i've seen gorals often in my village but sightseeing a Markhor was always a dream until i saw them also. But having no binoculars or sophisticated cameras my vision was limited to what only my eyes could zoom and see. But thank you Abdullah Bahi. Your documentary is up at the top along with all the videos of the Markhor ever made. From Snow Leopard to The Markhor, my most beloved animal, we have come a long way. Your productions are a treat to the eye. Much Love. ❤️

You have such an emotional attachment with Markhor which i can certainly empathise with as i have been filming them for about 5 years. You are so lucky to be born in a village that is home to Markhor. Remarkable animals that continue to surprise especially with the power struggle during the rut season! I am so glad that to have shared it with someone like you.

Your documentaries are amazing! Very few wildlife filmmakers ever bother to go to Pakistan, which is a shame because as your films show the natural beauty of this country is incredible. Thank you for showing this side of Pakistan to the rest of us, and I hope to see more films soon! Especially from Balochistan, Punjab and Kashmir! Those places haven't been featured yet.

Best documentary. Special thanks for promoting our area and Khowar language through this documentary. Chitral Gol National Park team has played a crucial role in the conservative of Markhor, Snow Leopard and other endangered species in the area. The government of KPK and local community of Chitral also played their role perfectly. In addition Controlled Trophy Hunting has paved the way for the preservation of Markhor in Chitral.

Even though I am against trophy hunters, the opinions expressed in this documentary make complete sense. The trophy hunters pay for the conservation of wildlife and habitat, in a place where there are no few if any jobs. Money is provided to the community helping to raise living standards. It's a system that is clearly working, you have to admire all those involved.
@ambimu55hak26 күн бұрын
That’s exactly what I thought about trophy hunting until I read your comment and seeing the benefit it’s bringing to the community.

Nobody has talked about how the Chitral Gol national park was originally established in 1970s to protect the Snow Leopard and other endangered species , through the cooperation of HH the Mehtar sb of Chitral and the then NWFP Govt , based on the earlier visit and report of famous conservation specialist George B Schaller .
