MARKHOR hunting is the best for conservation ! by Seladang

Le Markhor est l'un des plus prestigieux trophée de chasse en montagne. On le trouve en Asie Centrale, au Pakistan, en Afghanistan, en Ouzbékistan et au Sud du Tadjikistan où sont prises ces images.
Depuis 1990 je m'investis avec les communautés locales du Sud du Tadjikistan pour protéger ce superbe animal, qu'est le Markhor de Bokhara. Ces images en sont la conclusion. Il est dorénavant possible de récolter 6 grands mâles par an selon les territoires de chasse.

Since 1990 i am helping communities to protect Bukharan Markhor one of the mots prestigious mountain game in the world. From now it is possible to collect 6 old males in those areas.

In Tajikistan do they calculate how many they have to be hunting per year ? Moreover for conservation & preservation it is necessary to calculate the numbers.We want to bring such animals in our Zoo.So we can breed many & send them to our forest.

These countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Nipal, Kirghisatan should make a rules that what kinda animal can be hunted. Because if they hunt the bigger males, they would destroy these Markhor animals generations. But i think since these countries do not have rules and anyone can come and hunt the animal provided if they can give these countries dolloars. Such a shame. I highly doubt that they would be able to do such a thing in Europe or America - smh

Personally I prefer sheep meat before goat meat which is smelling on the top we are hunting only OLD males ! Anyway local hunters and their family love the Markhor meat and Ibex meat. It is for them. Sometime they prepare some kind of goulash for us. Not really good but not bad.

so i see alot of negative comments here....and yall are gettting a bad idea about this.. .tbh the markhor hunting is good for conservation of the specie...so you see they pay around 67500$ to hunt an "old markhor male" the money is then used to protect other markhors from poaching etc the ppl who conserve such spiece do have to pay the bills dont they?

you are right. One hunt done at higher altitude where weather is more cold. More cold make animals more big. Trophies are heavier in cold areas.
