To be fair I'm disappointed everytime Mark's character survives an encounter. This game is 100% NOT built on the success that Soma was, it's like they heard all the praise that game got and decided their next game needed a less interesting story a less compelling character and fewer actual encounters with enemies so the bland story can take up more time.

Everyone's commenting on Mark's stupid mistakes, but like... other than running with matches and walking into monster territory and crashing into everything in his path, I really like this playthrough. I have a theory: In the beginning Tasi was only a few weeks pregnant. However, she kept going through those strange portals which could perhaps be time travel portals. So when she went through a couple of them she all of a sudden felt heavy, her pregnancy had advanced as a result of her going through the portals and traveling forward in time. Seems more likely than her having an alien baby. Anyways, love the video Mark!

When you play a lot of horror games, the spooky noise is generally fine, especially in the early game. And in the late game, you generally can tell when a monster is hunting you anyways so it is easy to tell if a noise is real or fake.

He still hasn't realized the squirming noise in the beginning was him frying from the heat to prepare the player to hear that sound and stay out of the darkness. Yes the baby does help you stay calm but you don't have to check on it every time you hear that noise, just find some light. The baby icon is more white.

I'm so sad he missed the scare coming out of the quarter master's area: there's a creature perched on the beam but instead he was staring at the wall. It scared the daylights out of me, and then the bird taking off in the square gets you even more because your nerves are high.

@@kylerivera3470 Ironically, it's actually a bigger threat to undo that trap from the inside than to open the door. I instinctively tried opening that door, then casually tried to force it open. Either it doesn't open at all, or you really have to pull hard. Thankfully you have about 7 seconds to get away once the grenade is live.

IIRC Amnesia: TDD has a plot point where people were tortured and had their memory wiped to keep the torture fresh to extract some kind of resource from them based on pain and agony. If the "can be translated as crop" bit is to be taken as the proper translation, then it could mean we are seeing what's left of the people that originated that as a means of power, meaning the BBEG was just following their lead to gain his own power and was being hunted by whatever wiped them out, assuming there isn't a third factor at play.

my dad had cancer too, forgot where it was found but luckily it was found VERY early on, so they were able to remove it! still didn't make the experience any less scary though. I hope that somehow your grandma makes it through!

my dad may not have cancer, but he has a terminal lung disease that he got 8 years ago that as supposed to give him 6 months left, but he is stubborn enough to have beat the expiration date by over 7 years, but he still has only about 13% of his lungs functional anymore. he has dug himself into a bottomless pit of depression that he will not admit to. also, he has his own house and is working and doing everyday things that he should not be doing. he could die at any moment and most jobs wont take him for very long because of his medical record
