Concept for a game. So it calls itself a horror game, and you go though the entire game with no jumpscares, just lots of little things that build up the tension. Then the game ends and credits start rolling. BUT THEN, suddenly the screen goes black, then pops up using your camera a video of you playing the game with weird things happening/appearing behind you, or whispered conversations, then it cuts to a video of you right then with something behind you, and it whispers something creepy about always being there from now on and then the game crashes.

I feel bad for KZbinrs who are expected to never change. You change every year as you get older, that's just how it is. And almost all of the time, the person who changed looks back at themselves and cringes hard. It's life, and it's human. That's what happened to Pewdiepie. I followed him in his early-ish days, and he's so afraid of change, struggling so much to remain the same and doing the same things that led to his fame that he is no longer enjoying himself. By dumb theories I assume you're talking about Darkiplier? Mark has already established multiple characters on his channel before, and it's obvious not many of them have been used in a while. The fact that MatPat even made a theory is a pretty safe bet that Mark is planning something. Mark's also been hinting at these old characters coming back in skits he's done in the last couple years. Having the twitch streams could be great smokescreen to hint at a returning alter ego, without just giving it away. There's no doubt that mark may dislike his older self in some ways, however it's hard to ignore some of the odd behavior he's exhibited, whether it's real or acted out.

Lot of comments saying they liked old Markiplier better. I can see what they mean, but at the same time Mark has clearly grown since then, and a lot has happened between then and now. I'm willing to bet a lot of people wouldn't have even took stock in the difference if it were not for this segment. I don't mind his toned-down, snarkier self; I don't mind his loud, blood-pressure-'bout-to-pop-a-vein self. I just like him as a person and content-creator. That being said, sure he has some off-days, but that's just human. You do you, Markimoo.

Yeah, regardless of his demeanour, he'll still always feel more genuine now and back then in comparison to 95%+ of YT creators. He feels a lot more like a friend sharing with us things he thinks is cool, and I can appreciate that a lot more than someone who fully intends to just do anything to get views. I adamantly avoid channels like Pewds or Jack, but have stuck by this channel since the first Five Nights videos because of those reasons.
