Black Silk Goth it’s something that’s kinda hard to explain. The best way one can put it, is how mark keeps saying he’s stuck in a loop. That’s how your body is, it’s stuck in a loop and won’t listen to your mind despite knowing something isn’t that serious to panic/stress about but you still do bc well...

It's also a really good example of ADHD because when you have ADHD you can either become very disinterested or VERY hyper focused. When Mark was saying that he was stuck in a loop, it reminded me of every time I had tried to just complete something and had become so fixated that it wasn't fun to play it but I just HAD to finish it. Most of the time people with ADHD will consider themselves a completionist just due to the fact that their loop comes back and they HAVE to complete it perfect. Mark most likely realised that it's his ADHD forcing him to go back over and over again just for that coin, but he can't help it. It would feel inherently wrong to Mark to leave that coin but eventually he got out of the loop and he completed the level without the coin.

Mark, it's called centration (or perseveration). It's when the brain gets too focused on something and/or gets stuck on an idea and causes that "loop" you were talking about. It's actually common in younger children as well as adults as we age. Don't get too hung up on it, it's normal! Hope that helps a bit!

Lately, my obsessive perfectionism has actually turned into an enjoyment inhibiting factor for me... Yes, doing something perfectly is satisfying, but I remember enjoying games and drawing a whole lot more back when I didn't give a damn about getting perfect results but just played games and drew pictures for the sake of doing it.

Honestly, watching this back years later, with all that I know about ADHD now, that looping sensation makes so much more sense. And I connected with it at the time, but now that I've been through a lot of therapy and worked on stuff, I can see the struggle and feel it so much harder.

Reason for the repeated play: ADHD Hyperfocus. I have it myself, it's really hard sometimes to make yourself stop something even though you know you should.

MynicknameisViolet I've had loops like that before, my husband thinks I'm crazy because I will break down like Mark will. Not on medication, just had behavioral therapy when I was younger. When I have loops like that I will destroy anything and everything in my way to do what I'm looping on. I totally get what he's going through 100%

one thing I've learned about cuphead after replaying it 5 times, is that just like anything else, it's not that hard once you practice it. After just recently finishing my 5th playthrough, I beat every single boss in inkwell isle 3 first try, as well as king dice.
