There's an easier way than looking at the tape to tell if a box is a trap. Instead of hitting the box, get close to it and listen for ticking: ticking means it's a trap, no ticking means that it's safe. Also, in the bedroom with all of the trapped boxes, step on the gas trap and immediately jump back down. It has a slightly longer delay than the other gas traps, and it eliminates all of the bombs without you dying or using ammo. Doing this, taking advantage of traps, and continuing to do what you've done so far can help you complete this in about a half hour.

I beat Ethan must die so here's some tips, like so Mark can see! 1) Dont waste bullets on most enemies as you can just run past them or use the environment against them, like the fat one in the basement, same goes with hives, they arent dangerous and can be knifed. 2) The boxes with bombs will have a ticking noise when you get close and *have only 1 piece of tape* 3) Later on, remember to use the environment, you can duck, run around or have it do the work for you without wasting bullets. 4) Utilize the block whem needed, and close doors so enemies cant pass through. 5) Ive said this before but it is vitally important to winning, use traps to your advantage you rarely ever need to use bullets directly on enemies. Also the room filled with bombs, all you have to do is step on nerve gas trap and jump into the hole, triggering the rest of the bombs to go off, turrets also have a timer before shooting which can allow you to run past them

The difference is that they were under different circumstances. Clancy didn't have a reason to stay in the house, unlike Ethan. You can't call Clancy a pussy jut because didn't want to be tortured for no reason. Ethan had chosen to go through the house, Clancy was dragged into it. Both of them are good characters though and have their own motives.

Mark. Remember too that in "Ethan must die" Once you close a door the monsters cant follow you. Use this in your adventage. You dont need to kill all the monsters. That way and using the traps you will be able to dont use much ammo for the final battle.
