The horrifying part of SCP 354 is that there are no records of the exploratory mission outside of the logs. The O-5 didn't ok it, the site director didn't ok it. The people the logs say went in have zero memory of going in. They think the SCP itself created the log to scare them away from sending people into it.

22:34 that achievement if for photographing the upper right anomaly. The game ends and the jumpscare plays when you attempt to photograph your 9th node, whatever node that may be (you can never photograph more than 8 anomalies), and the upper right is *usually* last, especially on the first playthrough. Hence, "You've Played this Before" you know about the jumpscare, and wanted to know what the "last" photograph was. Also, I think that sound is the sound of something breathing...

Plot for Iron Lung : There are 2 Remaining Factions in The Universe after The Quiet Rapture happened. You are playing as a Captured Member of Eden, The Remains of an Old Martian Colony established before The Rapture. You are forced by The Coalition of Iron (C.O.I) to do research on Moon At-5 or die. The Protagonist chooses this and writes the letter on the floor of the submarine as a way to vent his frustrations and how if he's going to go out, he might aswell go out on his own terms. In The Depths of The Unknown Ocean instead of The Vast Emptiness of Space. The Coalition actually sent a Research Vessel down there before The Player but it crashed and they're now just scrapping everything together to try to make sense of This Blood Ocean Anomaly. It is also confirmed that The Blood seems to be of Human Origin. The Game Assets also suggest that there was some kind of ancient cult like civilization once inside The Blood Ocean. There are remains of buildings/temples, weird monoliths, wormholes, and giant bones. It was a theory that this specific civilization casted a ritual that made it so that every star, habitable planet, and (presumably) everyone on it vanishes from existence. Also a point of note is that NO ONE watched or found out about The Quiet Rapture before many days after it supposedly happened. First, it was Radio Silence before a few ships was sent to investigate to find the remains of an empty void. There's also hidden secret assets in The Game which is either a leak for The Dev's Newest Unrelated Game or a Sequel/Prequel to expand The Universe of Iron Lung (though that is highly unlikely)

Apparently, according to my friend, based in the scales and the eye, the creature is more of an herbivore than a carnivore. And due to the fact that it lived in the dark its whole life before you effectively flashbanged it, it was basically just: “Oh, what’s this moving thing? It doesn’t look like something I can ea- OH MOTHER FUCKE-“ Edit : The creature that kills you at the end and the creature’s eye you took a picture of are two different creatures from what I’ve read.

What really fascinates me about this game is just how interesting this world is for just how little we get of it. Even more intriguing is that (from what I've heard), the Creator said that all the lore he has for this universe is present in this game, he hasn't (or hadn't) really thought much beyond that. So for what little we get, there's just so much.

I just thought about it and what about the possibility that the Quiet Rapture wasn’t the disappearance of planets and stars. They’re all normal and present, however all of the *spacecraft and space stations* were the ones who disappeared into some alternate reality due to a space anomaly. What’s more plausible, every habitable planet and star in the universe magically disappearing with nothing left behind to even hint at an energy source capable of doing so? Or all spacecraft and orbital stations vanishing due to an unforeseeable anomalous event

There's technically only one jumpscare at the end but the build up throughout the entire game makes that final scare worth it. Jumpscares are only hated because they often aren't used correctly, and this game uses them correctly.

SCP-354 is a red liquid resembling blood which reaches abnormally high densities below its surface. SPOILERS The most interesting thing about it if I remember correctly is that at one point it spat out an exploration log which chronicled the travels of a group of SCP foundation staff within the SCP (or perhaps on the other side of it), having entered the lake and re-emerged in another bigger lake in a different world than Earth. The foundation never sent any such exploration crew.

Fun Fact : Iron Lung is a 3D Game. So that means The Objects are actually 3D Assets. This means that The Assets need to have names. The "Worms" are actually Tubes of Some Kind. The "Bone" is a Stone Monolith, The One in The Back is a Special One that Sings. There's also actual Bones in The Ocean. The Wormhole is called "Anomaly" or something like that. [19:25/21:32] Edit : I don't know what the fuck happened in my reply section during these past 8 days, but at this point, I'm too afraid to ask... Edit 2 : Well, if I read the situation correctly, it seems that a pineapple doesn't understand that "Art is Subjective" and went on a rant about how Iron Lung isn't artistic or something like that. As you might imagine, some people didn't like the vibe he's giving off and that sparked an argument in my replies. So if you're said pineapple or anyone who's trying to join the argument. DON'T, you won't change anyone's opinion. It will only add fuel to an already burning fire. It's best to just let this die down until one of the sides get bored and move on with their lives (or to another reply section to argue once more idc)

@uglebeffus
@uglebeffus 11 ай бұрын
Well, not only humans live on Earth, and I don't doubt that whatever unknown horrors live at the unexplored reaches of the bottoms of our oceans might potentially be able to live in lake-sized pockets of blood as well as they can in water at thousands of meters down. There's gotta be some correlation between that much pressure and the thickness of blood, right? Not to mention that other stars were taken out, likely all of them and the only light left to see is from distant stars and galaxies. Seeing that it's also unlikely that humans are alone in the universe it might also have just been something that's been relocated from lightyears away from us. It's not just humans who disappeared.
@StrawbsIsAway
@StrawbsIsAway 11 ай бұрын
i mean human blood had a lot of the nutrients any creature needs to survive. oxygen, iron, carbon & nitrogen are the big things that almost every living things needs to survive, and blood has all that and more. while it's... interesting to wonder how a creature could survive in an ocean of blood, it's not completely unfathomable. it's also possible that the liquid, while it is identical to human blood, is not actually blood from human beings, and is just a mixture of the same elements and basic organic structures that blood has. it's likely that the creature has just evolved over time to breathe & live in the blood. it's also probable that humanity literally just... didn't notice the blood moons until they were the only celestial bodies left. i mean think about it, humans always prioritize looking for habitable planets, something that a blood moon definitely isn't. it would be easy to gloss over, especially when the thing doing the exploring is actually just a space drone and not an actual ship full of people who experience curiosity and the desire to know more.

I love the mention of the "ghostlight," from the dead stars. It takes YEARS for the light from stars to get to us here on earth, save for the sun (which takes 8ish minutes) bare minimum, it takes 4 years from the next closest. So even with the stars vanished, the light would still be traveling for some time. So as the decades went on, the light would be slowly and gradually disappear as the last flashes of light from each star made its way to the furthest people. Almost more poetically grim than just sudden darkness.

I love how at 6:51, you can see that the submarine is called “The Unsinkable 2” and my first thought was going back to In Space with Markiplier, as with that, we had “The Invincible 2”. I’m not sure if anyone else has pointed this out, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Actually I was thinking about this particular SCP the entire last video. The minute I heard blood ocean, this SCP popped into my head. It actually is one of the SCPs that really interest me, it’s a really fascinating read. I’m actually kind of hoping will see a correlation drawn in this video. Please know I will be editing this comment if there is a correlation drawn. Edit: While watching this I also thought of another possible connection. The other reason I kept having a gnawing feeling that I had seen a similar theme prior, it’s vaguely reminiscent of the assimilation that occurs due to the moons in Dead Space. While the moons simply ate everything a.k.a. assimilated it, basically there could’ve been a similar type of event in the storyline. Each person with simply dissolved into what later became the oceans of blood. Not exactly the same in nature, but not to far off as far as the themes go.

I feel like indie horror devs are starting to get the knack of a true horror experience. Giving as little information of the potential threat. When your put in a already scary situation not knowing what can and will harm you ultimately makes it more terrifying. Instead of cheap jumpscares there are tensions that build and build creating unsettling feelings. Hope to see more games like this in the future

The story really is captivating. Even if it did pull insirpation from an SCP, it still stands as a fully realized story on its own. Some of the biggest and best horror and sci fi directors do pull inspritation from other sources but make it something totally new and effective through their own ideas and lore and i think the creator of this game did that very well. Im interested to see how the adaption wil work

okay after scrolling through the comments a bit there's a surprisingly little amount of theories, so here's mine. (it's very out there and almost 100% false but nontheless, it's interesting.) while realistically it would make more sense that the stations themselves were somehow sucked into another dimension, leaving them stranded and confused, i wonder if the moons that house these blood oceans are light holes. stay with me here, a black hole sucks everything around it to an infinitly small point yes? and light holes effectivly do the opposite, however they haven't truly been discovered and cannot be scientifically proven yet, the proposition simply comes from the idea that every action has an equal and opposite REaction. so say that these moons are currently light holes, and in another dimension, a black hole managed to suck up everything, turning it into a kind of dark matter inside it's core. but the energy it swallowed had to go somewhere, and it connected to another dimension, a more stable one. in this dimension there was four (likely far more than four but we'll say four for now) miniscule light holes, with nothing near them they were never discovered, and due to their size they never caused any issues. however the black hole connected to them all, beginning to spew dark matter through them. the sudden surge of energy caused them to expand, the darkness spreading and eveloping all living things near and far. but as the black hole from the other dimension transferred more and more stuff through the light holes, it became too much, causing them to collapse in on themselves, warping and killing anything living, until eventually the energy dried out, leaving them as these moon type rocks, floating in space as if they hadn't just been the largest cause of destruction this dimension had ever seen. the surface covered in the blood of all the living things that were warped/squished by the energy. and as the blood began to settle, the moons that house it became semi active again, spewing other random things from other black holes from random dimensions. this caused the blood oceans to grow, and consistently destabilised their 'ecosystems' if you could even call them that. the crackling electric ball of energy you stumble across could possibly be the core of this light hole. now there's a few issues with this theory, such as why weren't the people in the stations able to feel this happening? or why werent they killed too? perhaps the theory i mentioned earlier is true here too, that these people were simply transported into this fucked up dimension by other means. or perhaps no one who is left alive is really human. perhaps they all were touched by the darkness but they were already mostly darkness so it had no effect. perhaps while they may seem 'sentient' theyre really just pawns to the growing consciousnous that is these different cosmic entities. another question could be how are there fish and eels in the ocean, but i think that's rather simple, either with the process of evolution theyve grown and changed into what they are now, or theyre creatures of dark matter, pawns of cosmic horror, like the 'people' who were left alive. and the last one would be if everything was destroyed, how is there still broken buildings or castles in the ocean? i could be lazy and anticlimactic and say theyre simply from a different dimension... but, there's also the possibility that because the people alive are basically pure darkness, they can survive in the ocean, and were able to build a civilisation and thrive. but with each surge of the light hole they were killed off. or perhaps the growing aquatic life was what finished them. there's a lot left unanswered with this theory but that's all i got for now:)

The (read: my) problem with light holes (actually called "white holes") in general is that black holes don't _remove_ any matter from the system, they just condense its volume, the mass itself stays, hence their immense gravity, so there's really nothing to re-balance in the first place. The idea is that: A) 4d time-space motion lines or something converge to a singularity in a black hole, and B) there's nothing special about which direction the lines are followed, so then white holes are either the singularity spreading back out into other stuff on the theoretical "other side" or just black holes played in reverse. That they send stuff into another dimension is a neat idea, but as it's seemingly never actually removed from the first (as I understand, at least), it just doesn't add up. There is something to be said about the apparent loss of "information" about the structure and arrangement of the matter, which isn't tied to the mass itself, but that's just reaching into abstract stuff, which, I admit, would be fine for video game lore, I just don't see white holes playing a role in this one.
