Mark thanks for the caring and yes it has been a hard month. I have decided to paint for me and not the people in my community. It is hard to sell in Pocatello, Idaho. People don't understand fluid art and think they can go home do this themselves. I just smile. I am producing some awesome pieces since I changed my attitude. I would have made the flames end not all in a line but one end shorter and slowly raising the hight towards the other end of the canvas....this is not at all a criticism just a thought for you to try on the next work ......all in all a very beautiful piece.....bravo!!!!! 😍ps I have subscribed

Hi Mark. I am new to this and watching all your videos, you are a amazing teacher. Can anyone help me, I am not getting the cells and beautiful effects you get Mark. As a beginner I am using the Crawford &Black paints from the Works. Could it be I need to use better quality paints

Thanks Fay. I’ve not used those paints before - just check they are not crafting acrylics? I usually get the cells by getting my consistency right. Daler Rowney System3 are good as are Pebeo and Amsterdam. To get cells with just water I do use better brands. Not sure if that helps much? Hope you’re having fun with this technique

Thank you so much for your reply. I have tried to find out if they are craft paints, it says they are artist acrylic paints mixed with water. Sorry to trouble you but I have spent hours and hours trying to get a painting which I am happy with.

@@nitzchick the trouble is if they are already mixed with water and you water them down further the risk is the binder in the paint will break down and split etc. maybe invest in a better brand (if you can, maybe the core colours and you can then mix your own colours too) and try with those and see if you can notice the difference.
