Please do more of these videos if you can. Always fascinated with how photographers work at proper games, seeing their work and how they capture everything, along with how you send images whilst the match is still going on. Love it! Keep up the good work 👍

Mark. I dragged my 20 year old son into my home office to watch your most recent video. He is a basketball guy. It was my third time watching this particular video. I kept telling him . “ see how happy Mark looks.” That’s my feeling every Saturday when I’m out shooting League 1 Ontario. For the past few weeks I have been in a photographic slump. But your video has revived me. Thanks a bunch!

So chuffed for you that you are back into the football side of things. The main reason I subscribed to your channel in the first place. It amazes me the speed in which you work, swapping from different lenses, editing and sending pics to the desk within minutes and not forgetting the tips you give us all through your vlog! I noticed midway through the video that sound from your voice was muted while the background noise could still be heard 🤔 Btw: Nice to see my 400ml f2.8 in your intro 😉 Look forward to seeing more of the same content Mark 🙏🏻👍🏻

Hey Mark, I've watched a lot of Sport Photography videos as a beginner sports photograph enthusiast. I've found yours are really informative. I'm taking more lacrosse shots rather than football shots but it's a similar fast-moving game. Only got a 70-200 F2.8 but would love a 400.....$$$$ Covid must have hit you and other professional photographers really hard. Great to see that it's an industry with some top people willing to reach a hand out for support - restores faith in humanity. Keep on coming with the videos mate. Top-notch!! We need live sport back here in AUS!!!

Thanks for watching Kane, really appreciate it. Canon have been superb with the kit loan. That has come to an end this month but my good friend Steve Paston has lent me his 1dx & 300mm so good to carry on. With the industry still recovering I’m not going to re invest in kit just yet! See how things pan out🤞🏻

Hi Mark, new to the channel and been watching a few especially the football. I use to cover these upto a few years back and brought back many memories. Pre match preps creating code replacements, checking any news or new signings etc. watching nil nil draws and getting absolutely nothing 😀. Sitting on the wrong side or end but nothing compares with seeing your images in the Sunday papers. I see you’ve also moved upto my neck of the woods in Nth Lincs, I live next to the Humber Bridge and it’s a great area to live. Look forward to watching more of your vids 👍
@MarkKerton2 жыл бұрын
Hi Graham, thanks for watching some of the videos, appreciate your support. Yes, not far from you now, only 15 minutes from the bridge. Which agency did you used to shoot for then when you were covering sport? Unfortunately, my sport work has dried up again! It’s the same for a lot of us freelancers, the work just doesn’t seem to be there like it was?! Time will tell I guess but do miss the buzz that you spoke about before and during the game. Thanks for getting in touch and catch up soon

@@MarkKerton I worked for Prosport in the beginning but I think they have gone now as I heard he lost his Dataco licence not long after. Also Camerasport. I also had a conference licence so use to cover Grimsby’s games for non league paper. At the end I also worked for a guy from Doncaster area but had a major falling out with him over pay. At that point I decided to concentrate on the ice skating events.
@MarkKerton2 жыл бұрын
@@GrahamTaylor123 Ah ProSport, know Phill & Paul, they’re still going strong. If it’s the same prosport that is? Camera sport still going too, sending through Getty now I think. It’s always tricky on commission, you never really know if the pay is correct, a lot of trust involved! I’m tempted to go back to commission but we’ll see!
@GrahamTaylor1232 жыл бұрын
@@MarkKerton different pro sport also known as professional sport which was owned by a guy called Tommy Hindley. He was very big in tennis circles and I think Wimbledon had a lot of his images on display.

Very happy for you being back out!!! And thank you for taking us along! Super cool of Jackie (spelling?) to hook you up with some kit! I love LOVE my 1D X Mark III!! If you’re wanting to stick with DSLR and EF glass there’s a bunch coming in to the stores as many trade for mirrorless and RF glass.. not sure if you can get B&H or Adorama to ship to the UK but they get and have some clean bodies and lenses. Or even buy refurbished from Canon..

Given the amount of work you do during the 90+ minutes between shooting, editing and sending it would be interesting to see what sort of readout you'd get from a heart monitor. I reckon you'd get a surprise. There's times I come away from a game exhausted, especially if there's loads of action and goals. It can be manic trying to keep up with it, especially if you're having to edit, caption and send images yourself throughout the game.
@DarrenEdwardsAviation3 жыл бұрын
Quality Mark, long may it continue for you, bet it was good to dust off the cobwebs. It's good to see in the video how much juggling around you've got to do between cameras, just to make sure you're using the correct lens at that exact moment in time.
