Thanks for all the valuable information you share with us. I did my first track and field shoot and found a few of my shots were out of focus because the Canon R5 locked focus on the rain drops instead of the athletes. I was using the Canon 70-200 2.8L lens for the shoot. Any advice?

Thx Mark….always informative! A couple of possible topics for future videos…corner kick strategies i.e. follow the ball, focus on keeper, something else etc? Also, how would you cover a penalty kick and a penalty kick shootout? If you already covered on prior videos, disregard.

I always have the same conundrum with free kicks, do I stay with the keeper or try for a wider shot of the kick. I only shoot parks football but it's nice to see what other folks do.

Great video again Mark I was at Goodison very cold. I love this format talking through the games at home would also be great to see a short video from each game of your set up and thoughts on position. Looking forward to seeing the videos you have planned.

Thank you for sharing. Very helpful. Like you I shoot sports. 3000-4000 images per game. Do you shoot in RAW or JPEG. I shoot JPEG but recently pushed to RAW. I would appreciate your advice. Thank you

Great video again Mark. Do you use AI? I'm seeing so many people now putting all their images through AI apps, what are your thoughts?

Thanks. Ooooh, touchy subject🤣 Definitely not! Not only do I strongly disagree with AI, editorial images MUST be natural. We can’t be seen to be moving players or balls etc. Some may see AI as a form of editing but I just see it as cheating! What’s in front of us when we compose an image should be left as it is in my opinion.

Great video as always Mark 👍 Would love to see your workflow using FTP especially if you drag and drop files or a whole folder and also what happens to the images on your end once uploaded etc. I have my way of doing but would like to see if I can tweak and improve or learn any tips or tricks Have a great weekend

Hi Mark, another cracking vid. I thought that foul by Ledson was gonna be a red as well!! As you know my goal cam ddn’t work at Leeds….turns out that if you shoot “silent” it turns off the flash, therefore doesn’t trigger remotes!! User error as suspected lol. Once again thanks very much for the use of your splitter, much appreciated. P.s. have you got a link for the usb cable you got to power it?

Mark maybe a meet up at the pub a couple of times a year I would suggest marrowbone and cleaver at kirmington near you sally the owner would be accommodating

How do you find your subjects with a long lens? Do you keep your eye at the viewfinder?

Yellow is correct. He touched the player with the side of his foot and it was on the middle of the field hou said. No extreem faul play. If he did this with the spikes it would be red. Nice set and video

If he'd caught him square on I'd have been concerned about a broken leg with the impetus he seems to have,

@@kevcleaver true, but he didn’t ;-) I did not see the moving video, only the photo’s in this video. But it does not seem like a real faul play. This could be considerd the same as pulling someone on his shirt to stop him. Like I said earlier, would he have his spikes lined up with the leg, it would definitly be a read card. The intention is then different. But it is a really thin line between yellow and red, so always difficult for a ref.
