The goal of this Hearthstone Mecha'thun Rogue OTK combo deck is to use Counterfeit Blade combined with Myra's Unstable Element! We do this by playing Myra's to destroy our Mecha'thun. Then, we play Counterfeit Blade, Secret Passage, and destroy the weapon for the OTK! If we draw Mecha'thun we can transform it with Savory Deviate Delight! Super fun meme deck! Good luck!

Counterfeit Blade seems to be the most bugged card right now. Even just shuffling deathrattle cards away with secret passage counts as deathrattle triggered for the blade.

Cause that 1 mana rogue spell seems to trigger the condition for the blade as well, transforming mechathun, confused me a bit at first so I assume most ways of just getting it "out of the game" would work

For a while now there seems to be a bug on what counts as a card dying for the game. The lady Preston bug where transformed divine shield cards count as losing divine shield is also an example of the game confusing card effects

I believe this delay is from the Secret Passage: it's simply the time that the 4-cards drawing animation takes, just without the animation itself because there are no cards to draw...

@@HellzMVP Its also fucked in standard but it’s more of a downside there. If your deathrattle minion gets transformed into, say, a tinyfin then you will get the deathrattle of a tinyfin which is, of course, nothing.

They both fall under the umbrella of the blade copying deathrattles that disappeared but didn’t actually trigger. Maybe they’re technically different bugs but you could say the same about the Myra’s/secret passage interactions. I had no bearing whatsoever. I don’t understand why you feel the need to say that when you clearly don’t have any experience with it.

You can also gain the deathrattle if you use one of the Secret Passages to shuffle Mechathun out of your hand. In fact, you can get a deathrattle from a deathrattle minion that has been summoned. I got my mechathun transformed into a witchwood imp by my savory deviate delight, it got pulled by dirty rat before I played blade, and the blade copied the impossible deathrattle

So I am not a newish player, I've played since beta and hit legend every time I try-hard. This combo CONFOUNDED me a few minutes ago. I knew he was setting up a combo so I used Illucia when his hand had been cost reduced with Octobot. In the hand was Counterfeit Blade, two Secret Passages, Backstab and two immune spells. I had no idea what to do, so I went for using the most cards I could, but unfortunately did not have the mana to get rid of the second copy of Blade. Two turns later, I died to a Mecha'thun that I never saw played. Thankfully he accepted my friend request, otherwise I'd still be baffled.

Actually although burned, discarded, and dead cards go to the graveyard, transformed cards are banished (and banishing is pretty rare in hearthstone).

Every time I hear about a new bug in this game it makes me more and more shocked Hearthstone manages to function at all. If there was any semblance of organized coding these kind of bugs wouldn’t be possible. The fact that we’re 7 years in and there’s not a distinction that a deathrattle only happens to a minion that is on board and is dying (and same to a divine shield minion losing its shield in hand/deck) is ASTOUNDING.

To be honest... This isn't even that much faster than the non-bugged Mecha'thun Rogue that uses Anka to make it cost 1 and then Broom to trade it off (Trading the Broom first of course). It gets turn 6-8 OTK's depending on how well you draw.

I use the weapon with deathrattle "give your minions rush", this way you can tutor that out of your deck with the draw weapon pirate. Only risk I have is playing it and having an opponent with tech's like destroy your weapon. But you can play the weapon on the OTK turn with hero power on 9 mana to trigger it's effect.

if i'm not mistaken, a turn 1 kill is still theoretically possible now. (but not realistically doable) lightning bloom, lightning bloom, coin, gadgetzan auctioneer. you now have 0 mana and 2 cards innervate, nature studies into floop's glorious gloop. you now have 0 mana, 3 cards and gloop play wisp, moonfire it 1 mana and 2 cards play another wisp, moonfire it, barkskin on auctioneer 1 mana and 1 card innervate, biology project, biology project you have 4 mana bees on auctioneer. you now have 5 mana and 1 card. play your own floop's glorious gloop, then earthen scales on auctioneer and bees on auctioneer. you now have 10 mana and can play yogg for the otk.

It was an old arena card that was also added in Battlegrounds as one of Akazamzerak's Secter but then it was removed. Its effect is like Redemption but it ressumons the minion at full Health instead of 1.

stealer of souls is banned in wild and won't get reintroducd until the standard expansion it came from rotate out so they do care. It is just that card desisn the last expansion have been " lets print this it have coolfactor" rather than " will this work as we want it to might want to test this first". As for when stealer of souls get back to wild it will be redesigned 200%.
