I am a bloody legend and so was the Grandma with Alzheimer’s in the Salon. My Mom with Dementia told a nurse at her nursing home who took her teeth away before a nap against Mom’s wishes…to kiss her ass. Woo! Sometimes the real Mom comes out from behind that sunny friendly smile!

I absolutely love the grandma at the salon. My grandmother thats still alive has alzheimers and I hadn't seen her in a long time so my aunt didn't think she would remember my or my family but she knew who we all were. The part that shocked us was she hadn't seen my youngest since she was a toddler and she was a preteen when we visited and my grandmother knew exactly who she was. Its crazy what that can remember. Oh and I'm a bloody legend lol. Even though i think you're the legend not myself.

That grandmother said the perfect thing to shut down a Karen, so if some Karen says something about seeing someone at the shop, or says that because they are in a certain area that they MUST work there, just say that since they are there, or have been there when you were there, then THEY must be an employee, and treat them the same as they were treating you. It is the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Is it that weird for a customer to help another customer without them being staff? I do it all the time and also ask for help too as I'm 5'2 and will look for any person that is taller than me to reach the top shelf (if I can't find a staff member first)

Alzheimers is really bad es for the family BUT my grandmother and her sister both thought I was my aunt so they at least knew I'm family. I always thought I don't look like anyone of my dads side of the family but apparently I look like my aunt did at my age.

So, while this not a ‘I don’t work here,’ the mom and shopping buddy reminds me of a story of my own. When I used to ride the bus on a daily basis, I encountered a lovey Indian lady that spoke little English and was very lost. I asked if I could help her after others all just said they did not understand. I can read body language so this helps me figure some things out even with language barriers. Anyways, she is isn’t sure what bus to take (she is gesturing to the five sides, different buses, etc). So I ask where she is going and she said a street very close to where I live and I tell her I am going that way. (I must admit here I am glad she seemed to understand English… That or she was like me and I do talk with my body… 🤣🤣🤣) So I take her to her destination (it’s 3 stops past mine) and walk home from there. She was very happy. Several years later, it is pouring and I mean pouring and I am waiting in the rain for the bus when a very nice Lexus rolls up and a very familiar woman asks in much more clear English if I would like a ride. ♥️♥️♥️ Edit: Her son was the driver and his first words were, ‘I am happy to finally meet the woman that showed my mother such care. Many, many thanks.’
