In 1973, I heard Cochereau do a 2 hour program on submitted themes, the last of which were the themes from "Jesus Christ, Superstar". Marko Sever has done Cochereau proud.

(Now six thumbs down) I swear some people have a compulsion to "run against the grain" (here, of the MANY positive comments), simply for the perverse pleasure of "ruffling everyone's feathers," nothing more. People who aren't interested in music are highly unlikely to find, much less navigate their browsers to, web pages like this one in the first place. So, very likely, those who've "thumbs-downed" Marko's playing did it as a "prank." Some simply don't like this kind of music, period - so, why are they commenting here? Marko's playing of Cochereau's 'Toccata' is nothing less than superb, beautifully "filmed" and recorded. Bravo to you, P.-F. I know I shouldn't do this but listening to Cochereau's recording of this and then coming back to this recording it sounds lack lustre. Cochereau recording is powerful its brutal the phrasing is pristine. The recording here showcases a really good organist but could do with pushing this piece closer to the edge!
