My dog is diabetic and requires insulin shots twice a day. I've been told by different resources that I should vigorously shake the insulin vial before drawing it into the syringe or to roll it vigorously. You've just solved the problem and saved me a bunch of time to develop an insulin shaker. Weeeeee. The vial is a little smaller than the paints you use but I think this will do the trick in mixing his insulin. Thanks so much for a wonderful ideal. I found you via HackSpace magazine.

What I have read is that rolling is much preferable to shaking. So you should probably find a way to run the shaker really slowly. But I’m not a doctor and this is not medical advice; and I’m not a veterinarian and this is not veterinary advice. Cheers!

Currently in the learning phase of setting up a workshop for micro controller based projects as well as building and painting D&D Terrain and Mini's. Been looking for a silent way to mix paints and I believe I have found it. Could probably add more cylinders or even rubber band or velcro strap a few bottles on the outside to mix several at the same time.

I've finally printed this but I modified it to use ABEC bearings (the ones typically found in spinners) for the pivot end. Great project, I love it! Is there a minimum speed on it? I'm not a mech e but I can see where scaling this up to mix slightly heavier bottles will be tricky given what you said on the Edge of Tech about the necessary tolerances. Any way to use algorithms or tinyML to monitor and tweak the motor currents to offset flex in the frame, changing center of gravity or am I overcomplicating things again? XD
@MarkRhodesMaker
@MarkRhodesMaker 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Re speed would be easy to control with a PWM controller. Haven’t looked at TinyML, but I would expect that it would given enough time and controllable variables find a best RPM and width, or even a modulated RPM for efficiency. Cool idea!
