Great review Mark as always. This version of KTM engine will not have the cam wear issues. Totally updated engine. I hope you get to review the 675 range of motorcycles soon to be released in the UK? Cheers Edit: i would have bought this if it came with Traction control over the Suzuki GSX-8S. However, the next model released in China does come with it fitted standard.

Hey Mark, it's Mark from New England. I bought the 22' 700CLX, which has a very cool design and great components, including fully adjustable suspension and Brembo calipers. I did not like the power plant, very weak for a 693cc. So I bought the 800NK. It feels like the 790 Duke but heavier. I have the 24' model in Nebula White, we don't get the Advanced version here in the states. No biggie. I really like the bike for the price. I think I'm going to get a 25' 990 Duke. CF Moto is making some pretty good bikes. This 800Nk is the 29th bike I've owned mostly Yamaha and Triumph. CF Moto is a good bike for the price. Another great review thanks, Mark.

Hi Mark, Good review. I actually bought one and have been really happy with it apart from 2 things. 1. The low down fuelling, esp in sport mode is horrendous. Apparently there is an update to sort it. 2. The hideous rear mudguard/number plate holder. Because of the short rear the tail tidy doesn't sit very well. Apart from that it's an extremely fun bike to ride. I'm not worried about any of the reliability issues, I would imagine resale value won't be great but then I didn't buy it to sell on. I don't think I could have it as my only bike but as a fun naked alongside my Blade, esp for the price, I don't think you can fault it.

I almost bought an 800NK but couldn't get over the hideous rear mudguard and the 8" touch screen, no doubt if the screen went kaput the bike would be useless. Hopefully CFMoto has fixed the camshaft/oil feed problem, but something CFMoto cannot fix are the residual values, although I keep a bike a long time it is still a worry that it would be almost worthless in a couple of years, a 750 Hornet is the sensible option.

Great review Mark, good value for money at the side of the competition. I have the ktm 790, im not concerned it's made in China, after all most things weve bought for many years has had the components made in china 😅.. i agree with some we don't know the long term or resale value 😊. But on the other hand because their so reasonably priced youre not going to loose any more than for example a 1 year depreciation of a bwm ( from a money 💰 point of view).. i think this is great, without the badge youd probably not be concerned.. 🎉

Same thoughts here. To my eyes that screen is an ugly feature that doesn’t seem to blend with the rest of the machine. That said, I realise I’m being left behind in a world that is moving on and to attract the next generation of riders, it’s this sort of thing that will appeal.

I'm not sure if I like it or not. It's definitely modern, and I'm more inclined to want real clocks rather than a TFT screen. I would want a whole day test ride before making a purchase decision. I'm from Australia and 2nd hand CF Moto bikes sell cheap. I would not want to be a new buyer and drop 70% in twelve months. That may change as the brand gains market share.

Very good review. It looks no worse than the current crop of modern Japanese bikes - grim. It does not have gold forks which is a plus point. Engine sounds great but that ipad thing is just a gimmick. Can it be removed when you leave the bike? The scallywags where I live would be queuing up to try and prise it off the bike thinking the rider had left it on by mistake.
@gorrdd9 күн бұрын
Thanks Mark... I was wondering when you would do a review on this bike. Sounds like a great bike. I sat on one when I picked up my new 450nk. The seat tended to splay my legs enough that I was on the balls of my feet. Maybe moving forward on the seat would get my feet flatter on the ground. I need to try that again at the dealership. When on the balls of my feet it was more difficult to get off the stand than my 450. Yet, it only weighs 45 lbs more than the 450. Gas mileage on the 450 only seems to be around 60 mpg. I have 1500 miles on it. Maybe it will improve. The range is about 210 miles to sputter. I was hoping for at least 70 mph. But they may have it tuned rich. What are you thoughts. Gord
@markpulling129 күн бұрын
Hi gord I got about 65 mpg UK out of the 450 so I think you are in USA smaller gallon so that's about right I'd say Best wishes
@gorrdd9 күн бұрын
@markpulling12 Thanks Mark. I hadn't thought of that. I agree with your assessment. The other thing that is very peculiar and that is the speedometer readings. The beautiful speedo will show 70 but GPS says 67 or even 66 mph. The instant fuel economy shows around 70 mpg highway. But that is because the speedo is skewed. The CFMoto Ridesync app bases everything off of the bike's GPS and corrects all those dash display indicated errors. Why do they do that, I wonder... since they aren't hiding anything with Ridesync. By the way, the seat on the 450nk seems to be the most comfortable motorcycle seat I have ever been on. Gord
@markpulling129 күн бұрын
@gorrdd brilliant gord ...the 450 NK would definitely be my choice...that engine is superb:)
@gorrdd9 күн бұрын
@@markpulling12 Indeed it is... When doing 70+ and a dangerous gaggle of traffic forms, you can just pull back on the throttle in 6th gear and she will just fly past them. Remarkable pulling power even at the range. I've never once had to peg the throttle all the way back. Never any need really. When I said the GPS automatically corrects it. It only does that in the historical and accumulative averages under the CFMoto Ridesync app. Not under the live dash indication. Unfortunately, the live mph data still is skewed. And that really messes with the indicated range. As a general rule, I always gas up when I reach 150 miles on the highway. That leaves me with about 50 miles until completely empty. However, in city traffic, even with easy gear changes, you get about 150 - 165 mile range total. And with mixed city and highway riding, you only get about 185 range until completely empty. And there is a significant difference between highway mileage at 65 mph compared to 75 mph cruising. There may be a tune in my future. But I would have it dyno'd first to analyze how it is currently set up. Gord

I have two wee concerns: 1: WOW, those bezels! C'mon CFMoto, the instrument binnacle would look a lot sleeker and be less prone to damage without the unnecessary real estate. 2: The Chinese are hitting it out of the park with some fabulous machines just now. But, current political & ideological factors being what they are, one wonders whether this might affect the future of Chinese imports, and thus, support in the future. Otherwise, an amazing machine... 👍
