had mine just over 2 months now, 1300 miles on it, so much better than my cb125f i had. That little extra power makes a massive difference when it comes to keeping up with traffic. Done a 200+ mile trip with a friend and only used 2 bars of fuel. Highly recommend!

@@markpulling12 thanks for your reply! It's literally brand new so a bit sluggish atm I'm assured it'll be quicker after it's first oil change at 600 miles. Other than that it's a great fun whip it rolls round bends wonderfully and is great fun to ride. I think my only real bugbear is the 6 gears. While you're riding around town you need to click all the way up to fifth and then all the way down, you need to make a real effort to make sure you're in first at junctions which isn't something I've had on other 125s.

@@markpulling12 this is something I'm hoping to work on in the future, having put a few hundred miles in it in still genuinely enjoying it. I'm told after it's 600 mile service it should be a bit nippier. Just as a side note, did you find any difficulty using the controls while wearing boots? I'm a. Taller rider and wonder if there's a way to relocate the pegs to make the shift easier to use. I don't think this would be an issue for younger or smaller riders but for 6'3" me it's a bit awkward with the boots on

So from you long time owners, Is there anything to look out for on these bikes, how do they fair over the longer period of owning?

I bought one of these a few weeks ago and was really getting on with it ( have 350miles on it) it has its first service on Monday. In South East Asia, most of our 125cc bike can easily do well over 80-90mph stock. Kinda funny to see EU being so restrictive on the bike specs being sold over there. Those linked brakes is a horrible way to train new riders on how to use their bikes imo. Btw Benelli also sells the same bike here but with larger 150cc displacement. And we also have the largest engine moped in the world(185cc single) being sold here. Someone should try & import it into UK LOL.

Hi Mark. Greetings Gustav from Slovakia. Thank you for a nice review of this really attractive bike. I want to ask you how the front fairing of the legs (knees) protects the knees from the onslaught of wind and so on: do you feel warm air flowing from the radiator while driving? I ask this because I am older and I like thermal comfort. I was very interested in this bike because of its design, parameters, price, weight and your review. I will be very grateful for your possible answer.

Hi Gustav ....your knees sit well into the petrol tank and are well shielded from the wind if it's cold ....you won't get any wam air from the engine or radiator as it's only a 125 cc and these don't put out much heat from the small engine These are great bikes for the money and I recommend it Regards mark

Mark meant the price for his age. It'll be high price for you because younger drivers are more of a risk. Also location. Mileage and where the bike is stored plays a major factor in insurance costs.

The one thing that Really bothers me about this bike is the way they mounted the front caliper. That's going to get hit by curbs, rocks or anything else that's a little bumpy. For a normal motorcycle that's not such a big issue. But most who ride a 125 are very young (from 16 years old here in Norway) and they may not pay attention to small details like a curb. If the front break fails due to damaged, it gets dangerous fast.

Change the tyres they are cheap cordials, change exhaust cut it off and get a slip on with db killer, change gearing 1 up 1 down as they are undergeared to meet regulations for learners, do all this for around 300 extra (over time) you have a perfect all round bike that will do at least 80mph
@markpulling123 жыл бұрын
Cheers thanks for the info :)

@@markpulling12 These are great bikes, i have the RKR and it is of course same engine slightly better performance due to the aerodynamics, The only downside as i say are those areas mentioned above, top speed is limited by the rev limiter but if you notice how short the gearing is for at least the first 3 gears it shows that the bike has been purposefully restricted within a lower rev torque limit(likely to satisfy emissions targets for eu4) the change in gearing will lower only slightly mileage on petrol and a small drop in acceleration but the bike barely touches the first two gears anyway so you will notice it once moving at speed limits. Of course all this requires a mechanics touch and is altering the bike for personal preference
@markpulling123 жыл бұрын
@@Rogueonepigeon yes the gearing mod sounds great ...I hit the rev limiter on it a couple of times in top ...so that makes good sense to do .. Cheers mark

If you can find a workshop that will do the valve clearances on these for under £300 - if they'll touch it at all - I will eat my lid. They'll never be inspected, let alone adjusted.

@@adam2jz596cbs is fine. Just don't brake sharp or panic brake. Use the 2 finger method. Cbs is cheaper to service. With abs you can still slide. Plus if an abs module fails outside of warranty. They're an eye watering price. You also have to keep the abs sensors and abs ring clean from debris for them to work properly

pretty good price. looks much better than older model keeways. Performance is ok, but 3 spark plugs is rather silly. And 12BHP, its ok, but well down on market leaders. Wonder what the Euro5 makes. Hopefully future UK bike market will do away with euro 4/5 or worse.

That's because you aint Done proper maintenance. Regular washing with proper motorclcye cleaners. Polishing. Chain cleaning and lubrication. Plus drying the bike off thoroughly and a good coat of acf50 or xcp would prevent your rust and corrosion issues. Lmao
