Seems all these guns shoot pretty similarly, I ended up spending a little extra to Get the saint. I held and looked over all three at the gun store and the saint truly outclassed the other two in build quality. The S&W and Ruger both felt pretty plasticy and the stocks rattled around like an airsoft gun. These are all more budget friendly options but if you aren’t looking so put any extra money into your rifle the saint is truly solid right out of the box. No upgrades needed whatsoever.

You're always going to have trouble loading a full 30rd magazine into an AR when the bolt is closed. There is not enough space for the bottom of the bolt to easily push the top round down into the magazine when the magazine has 30 rounds in it. Probably, the struggle with the Saint and the Ruger getting the magazines to seat means they are made with tighter tolerances than the M&P.
@thomasprice17604 жыл бұрын
Well said ! 👍
@lky0564 жыл бұрын
It’s been suggested to load 29 for easier loading especially if it’s a tactical load using 2 mags clipped together.
@ryanp60724 жыл бұрын
What about pistols? Ive noticed with my sig p365 and wife's sw 380 ez some mags will go in fully loaded and some have a hard time with the slide forward. Maybe it just takes a bit of time for the spring to get worked in and not be so tight?
@altortugas59794 жыл бұрын
Probably it’s older magazines you struggle with, as springs degrade over time and use, and they don’t exert quite as much force as when they were new. There may also be differences in the floor plates across different brands allowing more or less physical space for additional compression of a full magazine against a closed slide. In any case, the original point was that you can’t really use how difficult it is to insert a full magazine onto a closed bolt as any sort of indicator of the quality of a firearm.

I honestly like all three of these guns but personally if I had to rely on one everyday I would rely on the M&P specifically because the saint is too expensive compared to the other two and I've seen more negative feedback on failures and returns to factory for the Saints than the other two by far. It seems like when the gun crunch started happening the quality-control with Springfield went down pretty quickly. Smith on the other hand seems to be turning off some quality stuff even at an expedited rate right now and same with Ruger. Truth be said though I own something from every one of these companies and I like it all. I think I have the most consistent reliability with Smith and Wesson of all of them though.

I thought so, too, but then I'm a Ruger fanboy. Well, not a fanboy, a Ruger fanatic. In the last seven years I've bought 35 pistols and long guns. Of them 34 are Rugers and one a Hi-Point. I Hi-Point 1095 10mm Carbine because after buying the Ruger PC 9 Carbine I wanted a 10mm, but I didn't want to wait for Ruger to come out with their's and I needed a carbine to go with my Ruger Super Redhawk in 10mm. Real committed gun people know that you can't have an orphan caliber, so a month after I bought my PC 9 Carbine (3 months after I bought my Super Redhawk in 10mm) I broke down and bought the Hi-Point 1095 10mm Carbine which will be given a one of my 4 kids when I get my Hi-Point, which seems to be a pretty good carbine, but my weak right eye needs a scope or a red dot sight.

You can't judge the accuracy of a firearm when shooting outside in what sounds like a very windy day. And accuracy can be corrected by adjusting the sights. Besides that the Saint has a heavy duty M-16 bolt carrier group, a better upgraded trigger, a better adjustable stock, better hand grip (Bravo) with a cover on the bottom so you can carry batteries, etc, better hand guard (Bravo) with heat shield and the rifle is coated with an aluminum oxide finish. The Ruger's bolt carrier group is trash and the M&P is okay but lacks the Saints upgraded features so for the money you are going to get a better quality, better built firearm if you buy the Saint.

These companies putting out low cost, high quality AR's are doing God's work as far as I'm concerned. It allows for *all* people to be armed with reliable rifles, not just the people with deep pockets. An armed society is a free society! Never think you need to spend $3,000 on a rifle, these 3 are fine examples of what the majority of us will be using in the zombie apocalypse! Lol, good stuff!

I've seen a lot of videos comparing the Smith and Wesson and the Ruger and honestly I'm leaning more towards the Ruger. Especially that Ruger you can upgrade to a free float barrel news and m-lok handguard for almost the same price as Sport II. I do know that Ruger has a couple proprietary part which makes customization a little harder, but that's not a huge deal breaker since free float barrels are more accurate.

i have the springfield saint. as soon as i adjusted my sight for where my sight of aim was, i was stacking shots from a further then a 50 yard distance and had a very tight group. i think an equalizer would yo have sighted each rifle in first as none werw going to shoot where your center of aim was. good video and they all perform very well.

These are all weapons to kill and they all do the trick. One of my semi autos is the S&W MP 15 . I paid $600 for it and threw another $150 on Magpul stock, trigger handle and rail. Great accuracy for a reasonable price. This is my daughter's gun. My wife has an Arsenal AK47 and my rifle is the Springfield M1A. Ak and the AR for my girls are light and accurate. My M1A is heavy and very accurate. These ARs and Aks are fantastic urban rifles. In more open areas a Springfield 7.62/308 can reach out and hammer at long range . Solid review on these rifles 👍

I've shot all three of these and I have to say that I liked the Springfield the most as far as build quality goes, but I bought the Smith and Wesson MOE because my local gun shop had it on sale for $550 and it is simply an awesome gun. With that being said, I spend way more time and have a lot more fun shooting my M&P 15-22. With 500 round bricks of .22LR selling for $15 right now, you can't beat it when it comes to enjoyment.

Hey guys I free float my rifle (m&p sport 2), put an adjustable trigger screw and a trigger job (polish). My rifle was shooting OK but nowhere near where I wanted it to be. After free-floating it and working on the trigger I can cover a three shot group at 150 yards with a quarter. When I first got the rifle I was kind of disappointed because I wanted extremely accuracy for long shots cause I do coyote hunting, now it’s a striper. My rifle likes almost all ammo, frontier 68gr bthp , tolammo 62gr hp, many of the Hornady 53gr to 75gr. I’m now very exited with my rifle.

@@umami0247 if your channel is called MarksmanTV there is no slack to be given. He basically dropkicks the trigger with those slaps. At 50 yards a 2" inch group is horrible, at 200-300 yards that is a barndoor sized group.

@@umami0247 I'm from Sweden, we can't be approved to own AR-15's without passing really hard shooting exams, having competition results and have to wait 24 months before getting to apply for a license. That's where my opinions come from, if this was a plinking video, fine, but he claims to do a versus video. There is no data to take away from such poor shooting, he specifically leans towards one gun being better accuracywise. I like his channel anyways and not trying to hate on him, just saying that the format and title is misleading if a novice or someone with no gun experience watches it and believes this is factual and comparable data. Anyways, have a great weekend :)

Reading the comments below: Slapping the trigger (aka "Jerking"?), vs. a slow steady pull is a disaster on a pistol. But here I don't know how much it can affect the accuracy given he's using a support. And I wonder how much that "hurricane" wind affected his shot accuracy, given I saw no sight adjustments made. I guess his "AIM" isn't so great? I have a problem holding my 9mm steady, & he*l, had that issue w/the M-16 when I fired it standing up (long ago in my USAF) days. That da*n gun felt like it weighed 2x the 7/8 lbs. after a while. We fired a limited # of rounds w/the gun braced on a sandbag, or shooting around a barrier & steadying the rifle up against the barrier. Can't say my sight alignment is so great--but I don't shoot much either.
