That Korth is awesome but I couldn’t in good faith spend $5k-6k on a revolver. I know they hold their value and all but that is a lot of money for a revolver, no matter how cool it is and who makes it.

I had a S&W copy of the p99 years ago. Had the one of the best trigger pulls, along with being one of the most point and shoot pistols I have ever owned. Stupidly I sold it and dearly want one again. Saw a few NIB examples (that were 20 years old) for $500 about 2 years ago. But those got snatched up when "beer" happened.

The ramrod on the trapdoor was originally kept to push empty rounds out due to cartridges were made of copper which expanded too far many times, and the extractor couldn't always extract so they kept the ramrod for extraction of empty cartridges

Another great video Chris! As for the H&R Trapdoor, that one was the “Officer” model, if not mistaken I have a Guns and Ammo from 1976 with a write up over this when it was brought out. I knew someone that had one, and keep hopes to find one at the right price someday. I did have an original 1889 ramrod bayonet Trapdoor, and thought I would get another one when I moved back to the USA from Germany and sold it there to a collector. In the time from buying it to selling it and returning the prices drastically went up, and they are hard to find in the same condition. Enjoy the 45-70gov and have a Sharps long range match in the caliber.

A video just about H&R would be cool. I have a few of their fireams, and I just love them. My own bubba-'d 349, a 20G Topper and a Buffalo Classic. One day I'll find a nice top-break, like a model 3 for 32 or 38 sw; or a 950 or 999 for 22lr, and add it to my collection as well. Sadly, they fell on hard times. Started importing chinese made firearms and disappeared...
@chriscoogan80902 жыл бұрын
Great video! However you should point out that the Walther p4 and late model p38 have a steel cross bolt in the alloy frame which was added due to the stress of many thousands of rounds or plus P ammo cracking the frame

Wow, AB10! I still have the one I bought back in the 1990s, stainless with a 32 round stainless magazine. I bought it because it was goofy and dirt cheap. Put a lot of steel cased ammo through it back in the days, it's a total POS but fun.

I just bought a chiappa rhino but i want a Korth. I saw what looks like a nighthawk on the photo. I buy real guns (1911s , Wilsons, colts, and etc.) No keltecs or glocks in my collection.
@protectiverailroaddad75412 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t put keltecs in the same category as Glock. Not a Glock fanboy but they are a quality weapon. I prefer walthers in striker fired guns but I do own a few Glocks.
@RARufus2 жыл бұрын
How is a Glock not a real gun? Are you saying you don’t by polymer guns or are you saying you only buy expensive guns?
@lognliv2 жыл бұрын
@@RARufus It sounds as if he only has time and/or interest in very high-end, designer gun brands, which is fine. I too appreciate quality and craftsmanship even if I have to admire it from afar since my firearm budget is more modest than I'd like. His last sentence does come off a bit backhanded, arrogant, and unnecessary, though. I have no shame in admitting that my humble collection is comprised of nothing special or fancy, just a bunch of common, workmanlike brands. They are all well cared for, though, and go bang when I need them to do their thing. I'd argue that makes them no less "real" than any other brand.
