40 hours in indoor mode, approx 8 hours on max volume :) - and I'm also happy about the fact that the Battery capacity is 99.8 Wh so it stays right below the 100 Wh restriction that many airlines have for batteries - so you can travel hastle free with your speaker

Butterflyunicorn , thanks :D We did that intentionally, and we were also kind of lucky with the timing. The IATA rating was expected to go up to 130Wh but then one transport plane crashed and another was seriously damaged due to lithium batteries so they reaffirmed the 100Wh limited. A lot of other companies was caught out by this and had already designed batteries for the expected 130Wh limited. The LiFePO4 batteries in the Soundboks aren't lithium ion so they are completely safe but they are unfortunately still considered lithium batteries for regulatory purposes.

LUCKY I cant recommend the youtubechannel "Clavie the junkie".. he's professionell testing speakers and he has a bunch of videos concerning testing and comparing this box with other ones... but you need a decent headset to listen to.. the hearingexperience of its videos comes the real speaker veeery close...and he knows what he does! He also has a free onlinetool for conparing speakers, think its called "oluvs switcher" or something

No they created the "lower" bass tones with higher bass tones. For instance, if the box couldn't do 30 Hz it would either waste power making the woofers move aimlessly or be filtered out by a built in high pass and you'd miss a bass note on a rap track. But if you were to make multiples of 60Hz, 90 and 120Hz you could generate a bass note in the place of the 30Hz note which would sound "dirtier" and whilst would not satisfy the clean home theater fans with proper subwoofers, it would do a reasonable job of filling in the missing bass on speakers that are not capable of going that low. Using harmonic distortion this way is similar to why you can hear a low B powerfully on a bass amp that cannot reproduce 31Hz. Although in this case, it is the bass guitar itself that has a lot of harmonics.

Accuracy in frequency response : ± 2dB from 20Hz to 20kHz" for the GOLD phantom aka the most expensive one, and so the soundboks at 1 meter is 120dB rated and the gold phantom 108dB at 1 meter, that is a GREAT difference, also in price by the way, where did you get that 116dB meme from when it clearly says 108dB on even their site. two gold phantoms combined would give around 111dB, so also nowhere near. they're also way too expensive for their low output.

@TakeanL if you want a decent bluetooth speaker that has solid battery life check out Braven XXL. For $150 you can't beat the speaker. It's not in the same category as Soundboks but the Braven is my go-to portable speaker.

Ahhh.... For the Price. They're all just novelties. I just link my phone with my wife's, Then enjoy what 4 AIWA EXOS 9's can do. And They CAN DO !!! ...and for the same price 😂... Even have a Cart my buddy here can haul them on. And showing up to the party with 4 Speakers, is more impressive. Especially when the cart has a 120qt Cooler 🍻. And horse drawn,.. By a Dog hehe.
