Mark, I really enjoy your content as one of the only British channels that values and talks about HomeKit

Thank you, I really appreciate that. My entire home runs off HomeKit...as a huge Apple fan I can't imagine using anything else 🙂

I appreciate you waiting to do a review on this for a while unlike most people out there. It's nice to see a review on something when it first comes out but it's not the best thing to go by. I bought this a few months ago and haven't had any issues with it. I really like it for automations. I like the local control. I was using apple home but recently stopped using my iPhone for my pixel phone. So this hub has helped me with that.

Thanks for your nice video, by the way Aqara thread contact sensor P2 also needs Aqara M3 hub specially if you want to include it in your Aqara security system.

Nice clip. Thanks for making this review. Please when it comes to adding this hub into a home setup can I select individual child devices that I want to migrate into this m3 manually?

Does it work with any zigbee device?

If this hub is mounted on the wall then wouldn’t you have a massive area that the IR blasters can not reach??
@MarksTechVlogsАй бұрын
IR can bounce off walls but I guess it all depends where the devices are you want to reach

Hi, thanks for this review and setup guide. I have an M3 hub, and I will be setting it up after moving house in a few weeks. I'm planning to put it near an AC unit which I'd like to control with the IR blaster. I have a question, I understand that you exported scenes to Apple Home for control your AC, but can you see and control the AC in the Apple Home app? In this video [ kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3epnoV3qNuohK8 ] he says that he paired the M3 with Apple home via the Matter option as it gave him the ability to 'expose' the IR blaster to Apple Home. I'm curious of your experience controlling the M3s IR blaster via Apple Home :)

Hi, it does have this feature but it depends on the brand of your AC unit I believe. I just have a budget portable one so couldn't match that in the app but could still clone the remote. I think the AC matter exposure for AC controllers relies on certain manufacturers
