This podcast/video really helped me because I constantly seek validation from people especially when I evangelize and talk to people about God. I need go change that and stop being so tolerant when people treat me like a peace of crap . Thanks a lot 💜

The book “When People Are Big and God is Small” was recommended to me. I prefer audiobooks and that title isn’t available on audio. So I searched KZbin and this is one of the videos I found. I really struggle with the fear of man and it has a negative impact on my closest relationships, especially with my mom. I found you have several audiobooks that are just what I’m looking for. I’m so glad I found your channel. Thanks so much!

This message is so on time. It’s so uncomfortable when the one you have to confront is the apostle of the church 😮‍💨 Being immature (babe) in Christ, can be difficult. It never feels good feeling like I’m being manipulated and not knowing better to truly understand. Lord I want Your peace 😫🙏🏽😣 I know that He will never leave me nor forsake me, in Him I will put my trust.

I am so encouraged hearing this episode. It makes me realize that we are not 8:25 in a lot of the things that we go through. Thank you guys for being so open and sharing not only what the word of God says, but also your struggles in the midst of learning to obey God, and to not fear people.

Praise God for freeing his people of every unreasonable fear, knowing God is in control always and willing to do good always! I therefore bind to hell every desire to be intimidated by another or any desire to intimidate another in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents, the children I teach and the body of Christ while desire peace with all whenever possible and privately and calmly confronting sin of another while binding to hell every lack of desire to privately and calmly confronting sin of another that sins against one, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone desiring to be intimidated by another or desiring to intimidate another while lacking desire to privately and calmly confronting the sin of another that sins against one, in accordance with this word and 1 samuel 18:29, nehemiah 6:13, philippians 1:28, romans 12:18, 2 timothy 1:7, matthew 18:15, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤.

Mere mortals can cause extreme pain . They can take things away which you can never get back.Mere mortals can make you cry and then give you “something to cry about”They can demand you “get well” but treat you in a way that makes you sick.

We need to advocate for people trapped in abusive environments.The worst kind of abuse is the kind done for someone’s own goood.CS Lewis said that.Better to be under robber barrons .Lewis said at least the abuse from them stops.When they get what they want they are satisfied.But “benevelent “abuse is relentless because it satisfies the conscience.AND IF SOMEONE COMPLAINS THEY ATE TOLD THEY NEED TO BE GRATEFUL.THERE IS NO WAY TO SAVE FACE.

This has to be the Bottom Line -- me trying SO HARD to get 'it Right' SO nothing goes wrong -- I wanted to be able to Say YOU CAN NOT GUILT ME (like you have my whole life because I did 'this' to Not let you get mad) - NOW what I need to understand & say is - You really did not need that table or whatever happened to get that person's approval - INSTEAD I want you to know that We ONLY NEED OUR HOLY SPIRIT - We only need GOD to accept us - GETTING MAN TO LIKE ME is NOT MY GOAL ANYMORE - MY GOAL is Listening to my Spirit voice & Pleasing GOD

Hey Mark and Melissa, I know this is old and not sure you’ll see this, but can you address recovery after things don’t go well, specifically in situations involving the dynamic between women and men in the church? Women struggle specifically in this area because women have historically been oppressed in society, but even more so in church (as so many churches believe women should not teach a man in any way). I think back on a situation where a man was teaching a series about the love of God. Sadly, from the pulpit, he stated several times how much he hated some people in the church, so even though we don’t like people God calls us to “love” them. At a later date I spoke with the pastor about much the words of this new minister wounded certain people in the church, but the pastor’s response was to literally sit there and scream at me to the point of veins popping out on his forehead. That was over 7 years ago (I go to a different church now) but I still occasionally have panic attacks at the thought of addressing honest issues with leadership. Oh and in my past I also had a prior pastor tell me the only thing I was good for as a woman was “to get pregnant and give some man babies”, which at that point in my life I was very successful on my job, working with politicians, and involved in leadership within our city community, but was made to feel worthless in the church because I was single. Thanks for all you guys do! 🙏🏼

I’m dealing with fear of man it usually people that are prideful, judgement, controlling freaks, people that will abuse their position. I had seen some karma came into their life. The Bible talk about judge people.
@CakesDontLie
@CakesDontLie Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s hard. But pray for those people and show Jesus’ love to them. I do want to say as well that karma is not a biblical principle. Consequences happen because of sin and God’s justice. Karma is a Buddhist idea

Mental hospital controlled everything .they watched me constantly and punished expressions of what they called my mental illness and some things that were important to me they waged war against.Forbidding me to talk about what i loved and I even got in trouble for facial expressions they didn’t like. Mark I’m sure you dont try to create a false self in your son and make his life miserable if he cant appear unautistic or un whatever part of his personality you decided to ban kept being there.You would never look at his disability as an abomination. In Freudian culture they took things I said and twisted them into made up meanings that THEY made up. Autistic people are usually literal.They don’t talk in metaphors .I was told often that they thought I meant different than what I said.They often had their minds made up.Crazymaking worse than in a reallly bad church.At least for adults the exit door is open. My ability to clearly to communicate was poor but even the obvious could be twisted. Once I was fixated on the Pope because he represented power and I wished I had power to improve my living conditions . My therapist believed I was fixated sexually on my father.I didn’t like the way my father treated me because he enabled all the thumbs I was under .and I didn’t like how he treated me and blew off my complaints.Dad was disappointed in my failure to become a convincing false self. My normal sisters couldn’t please parents either.They were harassed about their grades .Parents wanted them to be high achievers but to keep a low profile.
