I’ve been watching camera and tech reviews on KZbin for a long ass time and this is the most genuine childlike enjoyment I’ve ever seen someone have reviewing products. The parts with him enjoying the Pixio are like watching a 3rd grader meeting their best friend for the first time. I really don’t know how else to describe it

Your experience in Hollywood plus your love for continuing using videos as a means of communicating, has a lot to be admired. I went back to school recently after 60 years out of college, now working on using Cinema to teach students all over the world. It is a new career and much more fun than my original teaching process .

Re-discovering my love of all things imaginable. I don’t know if I’ve ever been a photographer. Every now and then I think artistically and go for richness or warm for depth of field or composite of elements. And they were only a couple of settings which sometimes simply accumulated in “close and snap“. But at 55 years old I decided to take roles in student films in the Pittsburgh area. And watching the students and the instructors and all of the particular fieldwork was scintillating. From sound the fog the light the quiet preparation and then the frantic capture of action. Your channel is great. Thanks for showing what it takes and some of the “cheats” along the way. -K

Great video. I love that you are so honest and show exactly how they work. So many people on KZbin try to be so biased and not express themselves how they feel about a product. Two thumbs up.

I just wanted to say how much I love your videos. They are entertaining (without the unnecessary self-promoting flannel that many others have), VERY practical and useful and you call 'a spade a spade' when I comes to equipment. This time I was so impressed with your loathing of reliance on the dreaded cell-phone apps, a particular hate of mine too. Keep 'em coming please.

I have a pixio system which I have used to track me whilst in a horse riding arena. On top I put a Sony camcorder. If you get the right model, and link it to the main device it also allows you to use the zoom function on the camera. I think it is great. BTW, keep up the good work.

Thanks very kindly for the honest straight up info. I only film outdoors and it looks like the Pixio is the one for me - not a big fan of having to set up the 3 beacons every time I move areas but now I know honestly why I shouldn't buy the other ones. 4:05 I'm seeing some dots on your sensor There's 2 ways to fix this. Buy a VND and lower your aperture or you could get a sensor cleaning kit. Both aren't crazy expensive and would help get those dots off your image. Super helpful video. I actually have a Ronin S and didn't know it could track people.

Hello now you have the flow360 for the tracking and also a gimball.... Thank you Markus especially for one of you last comments and thoughts about AI and the role of an artist and the pleasure to discover and participate seeing what the world is offering.... I think also that the use of filters, lut, AI corrections, AI creations are pleasant ten minutes and after that it remains a hole, a not satisfying sense of human creation, of a human viewing of things that the nature, the world, the animals is offering I'm following you from Italy

These devices can be very useful. I love the Active Track built into the DJI Pocket. The original Pocket had excellent tracking, and the new Pocket 2 is said to have improved upon it. It makes an excellent relatively affordable alternative to these devices and doesn’t require infra red dots, hidden triangulation devices, or GPS. It does use facial recognition, but seems to very clever at following a subject. It is small and lightweight, and recommendable for many people.

Thanks for the video. I found another solution that is lighter. The DJI Pocket 2 follows you pretty well! Up and down, left right. Doesn't require a cellphone (only for initial registration). I would love to see you try the Pocket 2... It's a fun little thing for video. And the creators pack is a good start as it has a wireless mic.

Great vid! Been looking at the Pixio but found this vid to see if there is anything cheaper that doesn't need beacons. It looks like the alternatives won't work. I just don't like the beacons.
