Thank you again. I installed my Yoshimura R-77 Exhaust on my 2023 Yamaha R7 yesterday using your video as a guide. It looks and sounds great. It also does seem a little faster to me. The only issue I faced when installing it was placement of the hitch that holds the pipe on the bottom of the bike. I actually had to look at the PDF online instructions, until that point I had been relying on your video for the entire install. (Yea, I probably should have done that first.) And it was the hardest part of the install for me. It was a little tough getting it in there, but well worth the effort and time saved removing all the fairing. Even with that self imposed snafu, the install went well and relatively quickly. I just wanted to acknowledge you for making this install really easy for me. Even the Anti-Seize trick was incredibly valuable. Keep up the great work!!

Another amazing guide! Just installed the R-77 with the baffle on today and it's already crazy loud, can't imagine taking the baffle out. Removing the 2 screws that holds the rear brakes definitely helps with installing the exhaust can and that was the most painful part of the process. On the other hand, I actually bought some Apex riser clip-ons and was hoping you could put together a video on how to install them!

Had to stretch my headers slightly also which took a little strength. I made the same mistake you did when you installed the DB killer and dropped the damn washer inside the can 😂. I just bought this system for my 2018 CBR650F and just now noticed something. There are no springs to attach at the top of the header flanges. Just bolt them down and you're good. That's awesome! Those springs up there can be a pain in the butt to install. I opted for this one since Two Brothers Racing were waiting on a part and they couldn't tell me when it was going to be back in stock. I liked the TBR system because the exhaust can sits under the bike, as where this one comes up the side along the swingarm.

Do you have to tune the bike after you install the exhaust? Where did you find the exhaust
@ScoutsOut2 жыл бұрын
It’s been running great without a tune, I think your good until you add an intake too. I’ll be tuning mine and installing the intake as I want the boost in power. I bought the exhaust here but they are out of stock right now tstindustries.com/yoshimura-race-series-r-77-works-finish-full-exhaust-system-yamaha-fz-07-mt-07-xsr700.html

So does the Yoshimura R77 for 2020 MT07 fit without issues? OR is this a 2021 Yoshimura for the R7?
@ScoutsOut3 жыл бұрын
The bracket is different, if you buy the MT07 one you will have to make your own bracket

I got the yosh from TST but they are out of stock again, it is for the R7 not mt07. The only difference is the bracket that holds it in the rear though

Thank you for these videos! I can’t wait to start putting real mods on my R7. I really want the Akrapovic but the yoshi j makes more sense for the price point. Any thoughts? Should I just save up for the akrapovic? Would love to hear other’s thoughts and opinions. Thank you!

Thanks man I appreciate that, that’s a hard trad off as I haven’t heard the Akra but it looks really good. I would say the performance would be close to the same no matter which one you get I think at this point it’s personal styling and either one would be awesome

Do you think you could have done the install with removing only one side of the fairings? Love the video. Currently in the market for an r7, most definitely doing an exhaust upgrade too.
@ScoutsOut3 жыл бұрын
Definitely, you don’t need to remove the left side but to remove the middle piece of fairing at the bottom you kind of half too. I was more worried Abbott the exhaust dropping on it and possibly breaking it, I think it is worth the extra removal.
@Bohdi463 жыл бұрын
I did mine with that exact bike and exhaust, only took off 2 fairings on the exhaust side
