I used to use the original Joby Gorillapod for my point and shoot cameras. I'd get a year out of them before the ball holding the camera got too lose to hold it. I considered it a once per year purchase right before going on summer vacation. I do have a larger version for my M6 Mark II but have never used it.

I settled on the Sirui 3T-15 tabletop tripod for my "vlogging stick" tool. I too loved the Pixi but I don't want to wear down the screw threads on my camera.

Thanks, I’ll check out that Sirui.
@GrantMcWilliams3 жыл бұрын
The Sirui is nice because you can take the ball head off giving a solid three legged tripod for an extension.

That happened to me. I have a Joby 5k Gorilla pod but I don't use it on tabletops.

Really stepped up your YT upload schedule lately! 😊 Keep the videos coming 😊👌🏻

Yah, putting some extra effort in, trying to work out how the whole YT thing really works.

@@markwiemels I’ve been posting one video every week for little over 1 year, and I just recently hit 1K subs so not sure if consistency is the thing. But I did notice a little more traffic to my channel after I got monetized, so I guess as long as YT makes money on the videos the algorithm spreads the videos out more.
@markwiemels3 жыл бұрын
Yah, I think the value in doing more is hopefully leering more, but I’m a bit of a slow learner. Well done on 1k, Casey Neistat says the first 1k is the hardest.

@@markwiemels definitely learn something new for every video 😊 It’s probably what they say, good CTR, good thumbnails, good titles and good content 😊

I wish you lived closer to me (not so you could touch my Pixie), so I could send you the Switchpod with the ballhead to try out. I still use both tripods (Gorillapod and Switchpod), but the Handipod looks great!
@markwiemels3 жыл бұрын
Haha. I have never been able to bring myself to pull the trigger on the switchpod, purely because of costs. I am finding the handipod is perfect for the m50/M6. I have also pickuped up a used joby focus, which is the same as the 5k, and I’m pretty Impresses with it.

So you never even tried the Manfrotto PIXI and settled down with Joby Handypod, thinking that’s made somewhere else and not in China? Manfrotto is one of the most popular and reliable in whatever they make, and they are Italian, may be this product is made in China, even iPhones are made in China but they are technically US!
@markwiemels3 жыл бұрын
Manfroto bought out Joby, so the Handipod and the Pixi are the same tripod, with the few small tweaks to the handipod.
@MichiMallu3 жыл бұрын
@@markwiemels But if you haven’t explored the Manfrotto product line, I welcome you to, I stopped buying other products after I started using Manfrotto photo and video accessories!
