Did you know people from this region and Afghanistan known as the Puktuns were sent to Australia to build the train lines in the Australian outback? Many of these Puktuns and Balochis from modern day Pakistan married local Aboriginal women. It's documented in Australian history and a train was even named in their honour called The Ghan. One of first Mosques in Australia based on Brisbane was set up by the Puktun people.
