Today’s video on Scott Hall is not really a tribute as it wasn’t exactly him at his best. It’s his 2002 run in WWE where they decided to bring the Nwo back with Hogan and Kevin Nash. They were doomed joined by Xpac. Unfortunately Hall didn’t do much during this run except fight to Stone Cold and Bradshaw over and over again.

I'm glad you're covering this man, Scott really was like that one Uncle/Dad you were always pulling for to have a good healthy life. Just guts me anytime I see him on DDPs videos with Jake doing his best to get better while being vulnerable. He was The Bad Guy on TV but he'll always be one of the coolest guys around. @lorenzoalsobrooks739
@lorenzoalsobrooks739 2 жыл бұрын
The reason the nWo wasn't booked properly in WWE is two good reasons: 1) this was milked to death in WCW and no longer a fresh idea and 2) it was promoted as a separate organization in WCW which was organic and interesting and in the WWE, it was just another faction.

Yeah that was really the beginning of the end for me with being a WWE fan. I had already lived through what they did to Dusty Rhodes with those ridiculous polkadots, watch them practically embarrass Ron Simmons and Dustin Rhodes when they first came in even though eventually Ron Simmons got to be a part of a decent tag team, I saw how they treated DDP and Booker T And after I saw what they did to the NWO the message was loud and clear. Vince didn’t care about making compelling television anymore because he didn’t have any more competition. The only reason he brought any of those WCW guys in was to pretty much ruin their careers. Booker T. was the only one that survived Any of that. When you go back and look at the debut of DDP and the debut of the nWo , They were all over like hell and that drove Vince crazy. Fast forward years later look what he did to sting and then Vader tells the whole world he’s got two years to live and the only thing he really asked from the wrestling community was that he got to go into the HOF before he died and that POS Vince McMahon couldn’t even do that. Now the only fans WWE has that one day will claim they are WWE diehards but the following Tuesday they’re on the Internet complaining about how bad the show has gotten but they won’t stop supporting this garbage. Vince McMahon can go to hell.

Didn't see this nWo unfold, but I did watch Hall vs Austin recently. It certainly wasn't the best match for a WrestleMania match, but I didn't really think it was S worthy either I don't know, maybe I'm blinded by how he sells those last 2 stunners, but I still thought it was still an okay match overall

Don't feel bad for Scott. He isn't in pain anymore. His demons are gone, and he has joined his brothers in the ring in the sky. Curt Hennig, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, his mentor Dusty Rhodes, and Owen Hart is playing ribs on them all. They are all together on the other side now. Don't shed a tear for them. Cry for all of us who carry on with the way the world is in such a state of disarray and unrest. The bad guy wouldn't want us to cry over him, he'd say pick your head up, take life square on the chin. When you say my name, save the goodbyes, it's "HEY YO!", until you walk the razors edge once again. And we all will wall that edge eventually. Stay strong bruddas. Strength to you all.

I remember watching this as a kid and thinking to myself, Scott moved real slow and was sloppy. He was actually moving around much better in the first half of his TNA run. The one thing I didn't like about the NWO run (aside from booking) was seeing Scott work most of the matches. You have 3 guys. They booked Nash to mostly interfere. Hogan was past his best in terms of mobility and Scott, the worker of the 3, was also on the physical decline. There's no way this was going to work.

This is pretty sad. I remember thinking Hall vs Austin at Mania was pretty underrated but maybe I'm misremembering and need to watch it again. Even though it is a money match it does seem a bit unfair cause maybe Austin can't take the Razor's Edge because of his neck. Hall said in interviews that he was really trying to kick his demons before Mania but once he heard how things were gonna be booked he just gave up and kept drinking. Guess I'll rewatch the TNA Ring of the Hawk. At least DDP helped his last decade of life be a much smoother one. R.I.P. Elvis

Your videos are cool and all. But, The fall away slam is one of his signature moves. Stone cold and the rock hit the spine Buster every match. The fall away slam is definitely a more impressive move because you're physically throwing the man over your head.

I remember this very well, and I knew Scott had had a rough few years leading to this point but was hoping he'd be in a better place in his own mind by then--it sadly was not the case, as he was at a very low point here. For that matter so was Austin, as he was burned out and had just about had it with the business...I really wish they had not done the segment with Hall kidnapped by Austin and him being taunted with beer..I wonder if that didnt trigger him even more...the WM match with Austin wasnt bad, it was passable, but coulda been so much more had both men been in a better space and more into it. Vince did the right thing letting Hall go sadly. He was in no shape to be a full time wrestler by then. I'm just glad that even tho Hall had a few more years careening toward bottom after this time, that DDP and Jake Roberts helped him as much as they did and helped him get to the HOF as well as live about another full decade he likely would not have had otherwise. Rest easy, Bad Guy, and thank you for everything, all the memories you gave me and so many of us here. * flicks toothpick in his honor *

I remember the feeling of seeing NWO in WWE. Man things like this don't happen anymore and I wish the younger fans knew what it felt like when the business was truly on fire. Everyone watched. Wcw in WWE was prob the last big edge of the seat moment they will ever have. I haven't watch in years. To me nothing will ever be like it was then. Stars everywhere and huge storylines.

I honestly never knew Hall was around for the Raw Ruthless Aggression set. Damnit Hall in the RA Era could have really been something. Imagine if after the nWo disbanded and Hall hadn't been on the Plane Ride from Hall, they started playing vignettes for Razor Ramon again? That would have been something

Scott was on borrowed time at this point. He was a 43 year old baby boomer during this run in the WWF. His physical prime had passed him and he still had a big drinking and pill problem. It was shortly after this when Waltman was released because of his drug problem too. Scott was never going to last long enough for there to be a Razor return. It's telling that after his last WWF run, Scott never again had a lengthy stint in any promotion.
