The screw finishes that Russo booked let so much steam out of the product for me personally. I jumped on board in 2005 & stayed semi to extremely loyal. It’s been consistently good since anthem took over so I wanted to support them & subscribe to impact plus. First thing I did was watch the asylum era stuff. It’s an interesting piece of wrestling history post wcw at the very least. Early Truth & Brian Christopher were awesome there imo.

I enjoy looking at how wrestling promotions start(at least the ones that lasted longer than 3 years) because the 1st 1.5 to 2 years are so weird, and you can tell the promoters are throwing random crap at the wall seeing what sticks creatively. But most importantly when looking at the prime/glory days of said promotion, it comes full circle when we all see stuff like the X Division, those Monster Ball matches, and former indy/disgruntled mainstream acts turned free agents get their shine. Its almost like it was all part of the plan to begin with.
