Hi I was at this gig sitting on the carpet with about 30 others. It came about because Roy Harper played the Beer Keller in Blackpool earlier in the year and some guys were heckling him. After a few exchanges he said Right Im stopping the gig and anyone who genuinely came to hear me I will promise you a gig elsewhere" and true to his word as he knew the owners of the St. Ives (he grew up in St. Annes) he did organuse a wee gig. However just after he started he said ive got a surpeise mate playing with me today and in wobbled Jimmy Page The gig was in a not very big lounge so it was like a private audience. I nearly didnt hear about but I was living in St. Annes at the time and somebody mentioned it. Unforgetable. Never knew anybody filmed it as it was only 1984. So today is first time I've seen this. Magic

I always wanted an Ovation, unique sound with the fibreglass bowl etc. Not sure if it's the sound quality of the day - although Harpers voice sounds okay - but the sound from the Ovations ain't great in places. Still a charming film, two fabulous musicians, craftsmen.
