09 | GOING IN HOT - Let's Play XCOM 2: War of the Chosen

XCOM has detected a number of Advent operations across the globe. With only enough time and troops to respond to one of them, the determination is made to protect Resistance supply gathering operations. XCOM forces are deployed to an Advent city center in the New Arctic to retrieve data crucial to Advent's deployment of rural checkpoints.

There are some amazing Resistance Order cards you can get if you're lucky. I got one that causes a feedback damage on the attacker with every psionic attack on your souldiers. In one mission a Gatekeeper attacked a few people of my squad with his psionic ability whitch instantly costed him about three quarters of his health. Was easy to take down afterwards.

Resistance Orders are issued 1 per month, unlike covert ops which open as one.

Private Journal, Squaddie "Padfoot" Evans April 19, 2035 Operation Smoking Omen The Avenger really really needs proper hospital beds. Tygan was picking melted kevlar out of my butt for an hour after we got back from the op in the Arctic. I thought I got far enough away, but those tanks are a little too volatile. Randall owes me a drink once I'm cleared to actually sit on a bar stool again. Shen says that might be 3 weeks away. Still, I got to bring out the new magnetic rifles on my first mission. Hyper-velocity slugs do a real number on MECs, their armor be damned. I'd rather play with their programming, but I haven't figured out how to adapt the GREMLINs wireless capability to my ice-breaker programs. Looks like I'll have a couple weeks with nothing else to do but work on that anyways.
