I'm in the middle of watching the video and I just wanted to share something I've realized. Marlena, you are a true teacher and everything you do is for US. Your supporters. So many "beauty gurus" are so egotistical and vain. You've always been that breath of fresh air on YT. Your genuine passion for cosmetics (not soley a passion of putting cosmetics on yourself) is so clear and apparent. You are an incredible woman Marlena. Never stop doing what you love, whatever it is. You can always count on my support. Okay, sappy post is over lol. Back to the video!! ❤

Hi Marlena! I have prominent eyes and have been doing Smokey eye for years. Is there any other technique that will work? What about inverted halo? Also, what kind of fake lash would work well? I think a video of lash styles correlating with techniques and eye shape would be great!
@Brandi_the_Baker4 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure I have almond shaped eyes but they are hooded pretty badly when my fave is just resting. I can make them less hooded by raising my eyebrows. Any time I try a cut crease you can never see my hard work. And anything shimmery just ends up all over my hoods.
@Brandi_the_Baker4 жыл бұрын
Also, the bottom lash line. Anytime I put anything there it looks like a dark mess. And should I bring it all the way across or just mainly toward the outside so my eyes look more open? I’ve heard to not bring it all the way into the inner corner area if you want to have more open eyes.
@Brandi_the_Baker4 жыл бұрын
Am I the only one who thought you had to put a dark color on the outer corner??? I think that’s where I have been going wrong.

I just sneezed when I saw that & laughed so hard I had mucus spew out! No, it's not a funny situation, but for emotional emergencies, we need to chuckle. Living in a very isolated environment in Alaska, literally on an island in the Arctic Circle, I'm not particularly expecting to be afflicted indirectly by the virus, or directly. That said, we have only 4 major cities really & one has an international airport, so we did get our 1st official case who was immediately tested & quarantined onsite. Now, the same procedures for our last state declared severe emergency response from a huge earthquake (they occur daily, but the big ones happen only occasionally) meaning all public service building, schools, libraries etc are closed & the other passengers are being tested for COVID19 with their final destinations in villages or cities informed for tracking purposes. Wowza! Such a long response to such a small but powerfully emotive statement! I apologize unreservedly for this comment being so long! Thanks for the joke though, I definitely needed a laugh, plus apparently a cleanup on aisle nostrils lol. Stay safe!

I "tight line" my crepey, hooded, deep set, downturned lids with Corrupt and a small, angled brush close and into what is left of my lashes. First I prime with Smashbox 24 hour eyeshadow primer from lashline and into sparse brows. Grunge and a stiff angled brow brush makes a very good brow powder for me.
