Funny the scope is so big for a 4x but I love that it’s a period correct accessory that’s actually usable

My grandpa gave me his 70s remington 700 (30-06 of course), and it has a 3-9 Redfield on it. Boy, those old scopes have such a charm with that tube TV style. Also, crystal clear glass. Very nice lever gun man, good find!

I see you also have two desk helpers with presentation. Although I was getting the impression that one of them was getting mildly annoyed that your attention wasn't on them at that precise moment. I look forward to running through the library of videos. Looking at the two side by side. The Marlin and Glenfield-Marlin. On the leading portion of the levers that would be against the backs of your fingers. Have you thought about wrapping and tight lacing a sheepskin piece there so any possible sharp edges dig in when running the action in the field? Had to do that to mine, and it just feels so much better to run without dismounting it from my shoulder while shooting.
@leverBoyluke Жыл бұрын
Haha yes you are right about her! Yes I have thought about doing that! I would like to add it to all my lever guns actually! Thanks for the feedback I hope you enjoy my collection of content friend

I just got the exact same year and caliber, although I haven't fired it yet. It can't kick like the old 300 Weatherby I used to shoot. It's like new with a weaver 3x scope on it. Congrats,
@ev3dale2984 ай бұрын
Same here. I finally put an Allen slip-on pad on it. That helped. It honestly kicked harder and sharper than my 300 Win-mag before the pad. It hurt. Accurate though. 1.5" @ 100 yards all day long.
@J.Huff76 Жыл бұрын
I've had a few different caliber Marlins back in the day but the 30-30 is hands down the best. You never have to question the knock down power of the 30-30, and it wont brake your shoulder like a 45-70. I'm a bit of a wee lad so 30-30 is just right for me. Very nice rifle Mr. LeverPro
@leverBoyluke Жыл бұрын
I couldn’t of said it better myself! 30/30 usually has all the power you will need with North America big game. What’s even better is the ammo isn’t nearly as expensive as 45/70. Thank you for the comment bro always like hearing from you!
