definitely a great next step for beginners in the 3d printing space, needed this last week but I ended up just learning VScode and compiled successfully thanks to your older videos!

Hi. I’m glad you were able to get vs code working. Being able to build it yourself is a good skill to have.

What issues are you having?
@bruceyoung13432 ай бұрын
I watched a video of yours recently. It may have been 2 years ago. It was building firmware for mini e3 v3 and cltouch at one point you mentioned config.ini. “To make life easier”. In marlin 2.1.2.4 there is no filament mention in config.ini ? I did successfully build that marlin firmware for my ender 3 w/cl Touch , filament runout. But that config.ini filament issue has me concerned. Thank You for your help on the above mentioned build though 😀

Hi. I would have to go back and watch the video to know what i was referring to lol. But if you got a build you should be good.

Hi, I have the Ender 3 Pro with the SKR Mini E3 V3.0, TFT35 E3 V3.0.1 and a BL Touch. I am using the firmware from your website, and tried to follow one of your other tutorials, but my ABL menu isn't in the same place yours is in, and I don't have the Z Probe Offset Wizard. I have a P Probe Offset Wizard which looks similar to the Z Probe Offset Wizard, but when I press the button labelled "OFF" to switch it On, the printer moves the nozzle around a bit and then the screen locks up. I can't figure out how to get this to work, any idea's on what I'm missing?
@3DPrintscape5 ай бұрын
Hi. The firmware on my site should work fine in this case but setting the z offset will be different with the tft35. I think they did end up calling it p offset but i would need to update my tft to see exactly what they changed. Maybe someone here or on discord can help fill in the gaps.

Thank you all the great video's, I have a question I updated my board to a Bigtreetech SKR mini v.3 running Marlin.I have a Spider hotend. when I started testing it the temp would go up to 260 even though I sent it for 215. It will slowly drop and fluctuate from 213 to 220,and never hold temp. Have you hear of this before?
@3DPrintscape6 ай бұрын
Hi. I have not seen this before, there could be something up with your hot end thermistor.

@@3DPrintscape I was able to work it out it was the heating element, the spider I got did not come with the wiring harness. So I got one from Amazon but I got the 12V not the 24V once I replaced that it works perfect. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the video. The steps were straightforward to follow. So, I used 8 of 10 of my downloads trying to get Marlin to work with Ender 3, Cr-Touch, Sprite Extruder, and a run-out sensor. My Creality touch screen never loads, the boot-up screen never works, and the new software has never been installed.

Hi. I was never able to get the creality touch screen to work with marlin. Not sure if you had it working prior to doing this upgrade or not but it may just not work.

@@3DPrintscape Thanks for the help. I figured the main file was just the 2.1.2.4 bug fix version then selected for the individual needs from The selection. Is there a way to understand the Classic Jerk settings vs the new settings. I’m on the 4.2.7 board. I have an Ender3 Pro. Manual bed leveling but I do like that I may be able to add a probe. Just not sure which one. BL , CR or the other offerings. I print occasionally. Have a Metal bed. I’m just trying to get it going like it was. Loving your videos.

@@GreyGhost-r4z Honestly, most of the time you wont need to mess with the jerk settings. Are you having an issue that your hoping to solve by changing them? As far as the abl, with the bl or cr will work fine. I would get which ever is cheaper when you go to buy.
