I completely agree! I started 2 years ago and have made a bunch of baits, mostly jointed swimbaits, and have caught some really nice fish on them! Painting them is one of my favorite parts of the build. Thanks Nate!

Towards the end of the week I start looking forward to your Sunday video. Living in Eastern Iowa, I figure I will start fishing after I see you land one (or some fish) in your videos. So, you are like my windsock at the airport, or plastic pop-up in the turkey, or beep from the microwave, when it comes to Iowa fishing.

Hey man, I just wanted to say keep up the good work. I've tried to make a couple wooden lures, and the paint job is so hard to do. The fact that you can make stuff so detailed is astonishing. I remember when you first started playing around with the jiggly lures, I was not sure if they would be as impressive as your wooden ones but the way you can use your wooden lures to make jiggly bait is freaking cool. Love watching every time. I think it's pretty awesome that even though to you they are fails you showed them to us anyways. And that you recognize you made a mistake and acknowledge that you have to correct it so that it will work properly. Too many times in this world people think that they can do something and they can't, and they refuse to accept that they made a mistake. And without acknowledging that they have made a mistake they will never be able to do it correctly. Bravo sir.

not sure how attached you are to that utility knife, but if you haven't tried yet, i recommend the xacto carving set (the 20 dollar one, not the 50) it comes with a few specialty blades that are useful, but for me just the red handle with a the large "xacto" blade really gives me the control and hand feel I'm looking for!
