@BakerBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Trial and err for the weight until I got it right lol. I have a ton of test baits I did until I got this pattern down. Only thing you might do differently is add less weight in each hole if your wanting it to sink slower. Each piece of wood is different and more so when it’s hadcarved. You can drill out some weight after if you want it to sink slower 👌

Really enjoyed the video. Looking forward to your paint job. I've been messing around with making gliders lately, and never seem to get the weighting just right. Out of curiosity, how deep do you drill? And is the amount of lead critical to the action? Keep the great videos coming!
@BakerBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Different amounts of weight and placement can make a huge difference in the action, especially if your trying to make a suspending bait. I’m drilling in just over a 1/4”. All depends on the action you want. I’m still experimenting with different weight placements haha

@@BakerBuilds thank you. I've been doing the same. I just can't seem to get consistent results. I'm not sure if it's because wood can vary piece by piece, or if I'm removing more wood from one to another, or what... It's frustrating at times!

@seanp9157 Жыл бұрын
Dont use tungsten putty! I tried on a few of my first ones and it eventually caused problems. When I first saw the stuff I was like this stuff is perfect. But when it's in your bait and it's a warm summer day, the epoxy gets softer. That means it can move around easily and whatever you used to seal it in will start to fail.
