Nice video and superb lure design and mfr. I've caught many freshwater and saltwater fish and had them hunted and then consumed by an apex predator fish. Cool to see this lure being so successful. Seems this is a trait of the apex's DNA (?). Anyhow, this leads me to suggest a Marling project to consider; An A-Rig (Alabama Umbrella Rig) which would involve several peripheral fish and the larger more enticing center fish (the center one is the one usually consumed). Thoughts?

I'm on my lunch break and went to our deli in Clinton, IA and when asked if I was going to eat my sandwich there or to go, I informed the nice woman that I was going to take my sandwich up the street to my house so I could watch a KZbin video of a guy who made a lure of a fish about to eat another lure but both are part of a lure. The older gentleman and his wife waiting in line behind me chuckled, and the man said, that sounds alright! I told him the guy is Marling Baits and he is in Iowa. When I got to the register, I asked for a pen and paper. The pen was secured, but the paper was harder to find, so I ended up using a deli order slip. You know the kind. I flipped it over and wrote, "MARLING BAITS - KZbin" and walked back to him in the sandwich line and said, "Sir, here you go." He took it, looking confused and then smiled after reading it and said, "Thanks!" So... that's how my dumb patter at the deli may have resulted in a new follower in Iowa. Maybe. I'm going to eat my 1/2 turkey sandwich now and then the cup of potato salad and then the thumbprint cookies.

When I was 14 I was up north at Crane Lake Minn with my Dad and bro. We were fishing the mouth of the little vermillion river. I hooked into a walleye and as I was reeling in, it would pull extemely hard from time to time. When I got it up next to the boat, it was revealed. A freakin monster Pike was devouring the walleye. Will never forget that.

IT's 111 degrees outside as I'm watching this video. Next week it's forecast to get up to 116 degrees. I always get a kick out of folks on the internet from other parts of the country telling us how hot it is there. In Arizona it can be 100 degrees at midnight when the sun isn't even shining, and that can be with and without humidity.

@@KelseyDrummer We visited a cold part of Texas one during Christmas when I was younger. The residents there wore regular pants and maybe a light sweater or sweatshirt. I was so cold I couldn't hardly walk straight cause I was shivering so much. I understand that when folks say it's "Hot" they mean "Hot" according to what they are accustomed to so, I don't want to come off sounding like I'm trolling anyone when they mention the heat in their part of the country. It's just that what some folks consider "Hot" is close to ideal weather to other folks.

Been watching for a while and would love to see a Rio Grande Chiclid lure. They are a native species in Texas and are the farthest north species of cichlids in the world. The big males have a big lumpy forehead, beautiful electric blue spots, and orange eyes. Sometimes they aren't super vibrant but I'm sure you could find some amazing references somewhere on the internet. As a Texas native I just recently learned about them so I'm sure many people watching have never heard about them. Great video and keep up the great content!

That was absolutely incredible! God has truly given you an amazing talent. He's given you something else too and if i can have just a couple of minutes of your time you'll see. Our Blessed Hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. Do you know him? Do "you", ("whoever" is reading this), know Jesus? Even more, are you "Saved"? If Jesus were to return today, "now", would you be ready? Are you ready? That is the one question that you, and everyone, better know the answer to, because that is the most important decision you will ever make. Jesus is the "ONLY WAY TO SALVATION". There is no other way, "none". This "life" that you are living now, is a "limited" existence. The life after this is "ETERNAL", which brings us to another question: "Where do you want to spend eternity?" Well, you have only "two" choices: either "HEAVEN" or "HELL"! Not everyone will go to Heaven and likewise not everyone will go to Hell. It's your choice! It's always been your choice. Have you ever wondered why we all don't go to Heaven? Well, it's because of just one thing. But that "one" thing "separates" us all from God, and that one thing, is "SIN"! We are all born into sin, everyone is, and the Bible says that the wages (penalty) of sin is "Death". You see, because of our sins, when we all die, we are all "eternally separated" from God. But you know what? God Loves you so much that he made a way for you, for all of us. The Bible also teaches us that even though the penalty (wages) for our sins is death, we can gain SALVATION (a GIFT FROM GOD) through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. God made a way! He sacrificed his only son, for "you"! That's how much he Loves you. ROMANS 6:23 kjv For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's the GOOD NEWS, (THE GOSPEL) Jesus took your sins and paid your sin debt in full. He took all your sins, past, present and future, to the Cross, shed his Blood and literally DIED for your sins, was buried and then God raised him from the dead three days later. Anyone who believes in the finished work of Jesus Christ will be Saved. That's THE GOSPEL (which means GOOD NEWS). 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 kjv 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He paid the price so you don't have to. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who could. He is the ONLY WAY. JOHN 14:6 kjv 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God gives you, all of us, this "GIFT", because he Loves you. How much does God Love you? Well, let me ask you this: "Could you sacrifice your only child?" That is exactly what our Heavenly Father did. He gave (sacrificed) his only begotten son, Jesus, for "you", for the "WHOLE WORLD"! JOHN 3:16-18 kjv 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Please, don't let Gods "sacrifice" (for you) be in vain. Jesus "died" for you. Please "Live" (eternally) for him.

Was fishing off of Tenney Lock this year, the Dam side so a good 12 foot drop or more to pull the fish up. Hooked into a decent bass, but hadn't seen what it was yet and kept feeling it just feel like a massive fish but then sort of ease up randomly. Get it up to the surface and see just a massive pike and kind of panic a bit because pulling a good 4ft pike up that drop would be near impossible, but right as I got it to the surface it spit out the bass I was actually hooked in. Poor guy got a few good teeth marks from it, but I think he should have survived alright unless that pike came back for him once I dropped him back in lol. Another interesting one was shortly after we moved here, I had a decent little pike try and take my bobber right at the side of the bank, almost actually popped him out of the water but he tossed it just at the last second. Was definitely an interesting one, made me wonder if you could just fish with a bobber and a hook right on the bottom lol. Almost caught my very first pike when I was pulling in a bluegill out a ways from here, had him halfway up the lake bank before he decided to toss it back up.

This is so pretty and also of great quality. I want to use this lure in Korea as well. I'll make the same and use it someday. Your production skills are amazing. I cheer for you

dont think i had a fish go for a fish on my hook, but i had 2 perch on 1 crankbait. i also had a small pike follow my jerkbait but it stopped dead suddenly, next cast i did granmom pike came and slamed into the lure like a train. so i figured out why the little pike stopped...
