Marlo a sociopath, he doesn’t care about that. He just loves playing chess and destroying yesterdays king. Omar was a maniac with feelings, sociopaths out win anyone when it comes to war. The way you viewed fasho Marlo did not, he’s starting to become my favorite character in the show. The actor Jaime hector irl is extremely talkative, true talent to mimic a sociopath. Ruthless, charming, and emotionless and that’s how he easily took over the game. He missed the violence, why he went back to the hood. The directors approach was that most sociopaths get forgotten because people hate them, while sociopath doesn’t gives a fuck if he is or not forgotten and goes back to be remembered for the fuck of it.

Literally everyone around Marlo relies on connections. And with his brute force personality this created constant conflict and a hard ass tendency with everyone he worked with aside from his loyal crew. Soon as he took down the Co-Op and killing Joe, that raid and shut down on his operation happened in no time. And as for everyone else, with Slim Charles sticking through both Avon and Joe as well as the Greeks connecting them, with both of them staying loyal, they remained alive and well in the game.

The Scene between Avon and Marlo at Jessup is easily my favorite ever. Avon showed Marlo, that he was truly the king.

Yeah Avon was a true king. Marlo was scary and fear was his biggest weapon. Marlo always wanted to wear the crown but instead of being seeing as a king he was seen as a ruthless dictator. I really think that people were more terrified of Chris and Snoop than they were of Marlo since even Michael's mom knew that they were the ones that were doing the killings. @@msthang5366 Probably yes. Stanfield has the hallmarks of a clinical psychopath, you can see how under-aroused he is (the slow, almost reptilian way he moves around, he shows very little emotional response to almost everything), his obsession with dominance ('wearing the crown' etc) and grandiose ambitions, as well as his narcissistic hurt at his name being held in contempt ('my name IS my name'). The only other person who really displays these traits in the whole series would be, imo, Kenard. These people are born that way and would be exactly the same if born into wealthy, privileged families- save that their anti-social traits would come out in a different way. You see people turned into killers and criminals in the show, people like Michael, Chris, Wee-Bey etc who all have empathy, love and some redeeming traits- Marlo and Kennard had none of this.

Love how Marlo just leaves the fancy party. He didn't buy Levy's BS one bit. Went right back to the street.

Y’all can talk about Stringer, Marlo, Avon and Joe. But the smartest was Slim Charles “ I ain’t cut out for now CEO”. He knew that would do him in the end

Marlo is such an amazing character. Him and Chris were smart, methodical, patient and ruthless. They were the perfect team. His cold approach and lack of emotions are spine chilling. A true sociopath. We have all met people like Marlo who just seem empty on the inside. Love the way he listens to Chris and it's like those two are the opposite of Avon and Stringer Bell but just as if not more efficient. A truly great villain, the Emporer Of the hood with his Darth Vader in Chris.

Marlo played Avon at the start of the war. The way he grins to chris when the wheel man tells them avon will be back out on them corners
