James I’m glad to see that you bot a Peterbilt I have driven several 1970s 352s and I owned one. I’d like to suggest that you put a ratchet strap on the clutch lever on the transmission and slack the clutch cable, ther are two pulleys next to the radiator, get them turning freely also two grease zeros under the dash that the clutch pedal turns be sure to service these four points with the clutch cable slacked.352s wher super old trucks.

Hi James looks like it’s coming together but needs a few minor adjustments. Seems like it is more complicated than a guy would think it would be. I’m thinking maybe the lighter gauge aluminum would be easier to work with but should be okay. Looks like the corners don’t quite match up tho. Gonna be a good day when Betty gets done! Stay safe

Lot of work there and I'm sure that using a thicker aluminum sheet is more difficult, but it's also going to be stronger and more durable. When done, Black Betty (blam-a-lam) will not only look great, she will be unique.
