@@alnov2722 as stated in other videos, Ed has multiple pairs of hearing aids, but refuses to wear them. I dont blame him, i can barely tolerate earbuds in my ear. Constantly adjusting them to be comfortable, i cant imagine a whole hearing aid that wraps around your whole ear. Take a damn chill pill and just worry about yourself and watching the videos. Matt keeps everyone in his circle taken care of pretty well. If you must help someone though, theres 1000’s of people on the streets that could use some blankets or a sandwich.

I agree. I had a main fuse blow in my F150 once. I put a new fuse in and drove it for months until it happened again. It turned that there were some wires rubbing and they would occasionally short out and blow the fuse. Fuses can occasionally go bad but it should be checked out.

The spud truck is crying out for air seats. Trouble is, once you add them to the spud truck, everyone will want them for the off road wrecker! Plus once you have an air compressor, think about air parking brakes. Much much better than what you have. (And of course, an air horn)

Either overuse, or under use. Just because it's not there, doesn't mean there's a leak. If it's a pavement princess for the 350k miles it's got, 4x4 was probably never locked in leaving the fluid to evaporate and dry up, aside from the free spin friction from simply driving down the road. It's not always a problem. Just maintenance negligence and lack of awareness

In an effort to keep Matt's statements, explanations, and wierd short stories as accurate as possible, the American word "Reservoir" derives directly from the French word whose meaning and spelling are exactly the same as the one that is also commonly used in England. Horsepower is the rate at which work can be done. Torque is what applies the force to get that work done. Without torque you cannot have horsepower. Torque is WHERE ITS AT. It makes things accelerate and go.

Also without HP you won’t have torque. You can’t have power without torque and you can’t have torque without power. It’s a silly statement. The real question is how do you pick the balance…do you just need work done, or do you need work done quickly?
@JackSquat54
@JackSquat54 Ай бұрын
None of you understand the difference between torque and horsepower. Torque is a measurement of power at low RPM, from a standing position. Horsepower is a multiplication of power at a peak high RPM, usually at about 5.500 RPM on the dyno at the flywheel.
@dwaynepenner2788
@dwaynepenner2788 Ай бұрын
@@JackSquat54 well you don't either, apparently. Torque is simply an applied rotational force at ANY RPM including 0 or high RPM. Power (HP) is work done over time at ANY RPM (except 0). You make HP at low RPM and you make Torque at low RPM. Your exact engine combination might produce more or less of each of them at any given RPM, but the more torque you have at any RPM, the more power is produced (except at 0 RPM). With an ICE, well any engine, the way to get low RPM power is to make gobs of torque, but you can use high RPM to "compensate" for lower torque to make more power. Which might be where you are getting confused. With a rotational engine you need torque to do work and when you need work more quickly you need more power. It is at best a serious oversimplification ot say torque is low RPM power and outright incorrect to say the HP is power at peak RPM; peak HP almost never happens at peak RPM.

Learned the hard way of breaking a bolt. Helping my friend put back on the valve covers on my car, tells me to not tighten it too much, right as it snaps ... thank heavens, it was the only one I could fix, without pulling the engine. Also didn't know that about Horsepower

To elaborate on the hp/torque discussion and driveshafts. Absolutely correct hp and torque are related. Each driveshaft has a certain torque value that will cause it to mechanically fail. This is true at 0 rpm or 10,000 rpm. At 0 rpm this is 0 hp transmitted, as rpm goes up with steady torque, hp transmitted increases.

Mechanical fatigue maybe. Fuses are cheap, nothing wrong with replacing it once and if it blows again then dig in with the trouble shooting. I've seen enough times where it didn't blow again and what caused the original to blow remains a mystery.
