I’ve had the Limestone 6P for over 10 years. It’s a super tent. It keeps me dry and handles wind well. It goes up in a jiffy and screams high quality. Zippers function smoothly and has two large access doors and vestibules. It’s a winner. I highly recommend this tent. .

I purchased a Limestone 6P for a 2018 cross country bicycle tour, Seattle to NYC to DC, 65 days on the road Thirty people, my position was support for the cyclists. While I drove about 10K miles I was able to cycle some days, bout 400 m total. The Tent served my very well, was easy to setup by myself however the group all worked together and had setup help most days. Had a very severe wind storm w rain camped by Devils Tower. With all the stakes in and all the guy lines attached the tent withstood the storm. The wind did blow hard enough to have the tent blow down and tap me during the night but would pop back into position once the gust passed. All stakes and lins were firmly in the ground the next morning. One of my poles was slightly bent. Another tent, different brand (not in our group) blew down during the night and the occupants got very wet. Near Cape May, NJ we encounterd another severe storm. Not as windy but did have one very strong gust where the tent developed a tear in the cover. A tree limb may have hit it??? Finished the tour the next day in DC and went haome. Forgot about the tear till nearly a year later and knew would need the tent again. Sent it to Marmot they repaired it free. I highly recommend this tent. I am 6' 2" and had plenty of headroom. PS I had a two man Peak 1 back pack tent that had served me very well for hiking. I did not want to live in that small tent for about two months.

The round side brow poles are unique to this tent, but there are some dome style 6 person tents from brands such as Kelty, Eureka, and Sierra Designs! Here are a few links: www.enwild.com/kelty-wireless-6.html www.enwild.com/kelty-rumpus-6p.html www.enwild.com/sierra-designs-tabernash-6.html

Thanks for the review! How might this hold up in heavy wind, rain or snow? Thanks!

As a 3 season tent, it should hold up to downpours and light snow. Definitely use the guylines in strong winds. If you're facing heavy winds and snow, you may want to look into a true 4 season tent.

This tent looks amazing! Do you recommend something similar that is under $300? I'm looking for a great all-weather 6 person with height. Thanks for any tips you might have!

If anyone is monitoring for comments.. How many full summers of daily use can I expect out of this?
@Enwild3 жыл бұрын
Hi Angie, thanks for the comment. Durability is a completely subjective quality to discern when dealing with outdoor equipment. The amount of factors that could potentially affect the lifespan of tent are innumerable. Direct sunlight and UV rays are known culprits in shortening the life of the tent material and on the flip side proper maintenance and storage can greatly effect just as much if not more. One of the great things you can take solace is that marmot is a quality manufacturer and only use the most advanced materials in the construction of their tents. The Limestone is not considered a weight saving model so it doesn't suffer from the same maladies it's diet ridden brethren have been known to encounter.

Can you set up a room divider right in the middle of this tent in a way that each room will have its own door? I'm going to camp with a group where it's me and another girl and two guys and we wanted to have the guys separately from the girls, and judging from pics and videos there seems to have nothing on the inside that i could hang a sheet.

Hi Naiana de S. Nascimento the Marmot Limestone 6 person is not currently configured for a separate room divider. While the ten itself would sleep 4 people comfortably the layout does not lend itself to that particular functionality. However, if you were creative I'm sure you could string up a sheet as a divider. We'd recommend the newest version of this tent as the front door has D-shaped doors which would allow for the respective parties' independent usage of their "halves".

Can u fit 2 queen mattresses in there
@Enwild6 жыл бұрын
Queen size mattresses are typically 60" x 80", and the dimensions of the floor of the Limestone 6 are 100" x 120". In theory, two queen sized mattresses SHOULD fit side by side with about 20" to spare at the foot end of the tent. Good luck!

VS 6P HALO???
@Enwild5 жыл бұрын
In general, the Halo is more durable because it is made of thicker fabrics, especially in the side walls. The Limestone has more vertical walls, so it is more roomy but more susceptible to wind damage while the Halo is rounder and more aerodynamic.

Thank you! I've wanted to understand the difference between these two tents.
