Very interesting, Marq. I assume that the stones were removed for building material? If so, there must be some houses partially built from them!

That's right, a lot of the older Buildings have Sarsen Stone in them.

Has anyone tried digging the find the stones? I don’t know anything about them. How did they get to be under the ground?

They are not all underground as many were destroyed a few hundred years ago for Building materials. I'm Dowsing where they would have stood although some could still be buried.
