01:23:57 The question of why/how the car dealership model started. I was curious so i looked it up. It basically was started so that the car manufacturers didn't have to worry about distribution. They only had to worry about manufacturing. The dealership was the distributor who would help the car be able to be sold in more places than the manufacturer would be able to sell them in on there own. Fun fact; Fred Koller opened the first dedicated car dealership in 1889. Known as the Reading Automobile Company. Before this, the car manufacturers were the ones selling the cars directly to the consumer by mail-order, in department stores, and traveling salesmen. So it's kinda funny because the way Tesla sells cars now is taking it back to how it originally was done. Just modernized for the internet.

Agreed with the “human element” point of the AI conversation. As an artist, I’ve just accepted there’s no way to compete with this tech. It will and already is better than us in many aspects. I’ve already seen it used for album art which was one of my dreams to create for musicians so it’s heartbreaking. However, I have finally found some peace in knowing how people often admire great art. It’s not just about the final image. Historically, amazing art is further admired and appreciated when the audience learns more about the fascinating efforts required to create it. Great Pyramids of Giza, Sculpture of David, The Starry Night, Da Vinci’s work, to name a few historical examples. Even though we could easily create even larger pyramids with greater technology now, we will never lose fascination for the Great Pyramids because the creation process is so deeply fascinating. Think about your personal favorite film or album. How much research have you done looking into how someone could possibly create such a masterpiece? As you learn more, you get increasingly more attached. Interstellar is my favorite film. I’ve seen it 5 times or so, it never gets old, every time I learn something new about the editing, filming, or writing, I want to go watch it again because I cannot fathom the incredible effort and precision humans put into it. On the contrary, when I see a cool image, then learn its AI generated, I simply lose interest. “Cool tech” is about all I can say. We’re human. Amazing human feats impress us. So as far as AI art vs human artists goes, I’m team human ❤️✊🏼. I’ll continue to promote this message forever to support artists of the future 🎨❤

As a VR fan, Andrew brings up an astonishing point that no one has talked about which is the isolation but community factor of VR headsets. A lot of the fun of VR is communicating within a community or hanging out and doing multiplayer activities, however you are very much still isolated. When watching tv/movie with friends and family you can interact with them and watch their reactions to things. Its a spoken human social connection that is being blocked with the vr headset, even if both are in the same world. It's another push for VR/AR mating together for a more enjoyable and adaptable experience.
