I love how RJ in this video takes this pedal to new sonic textures I'd not considered when I built it. This one is simple.. take a late 70's White Label bud box R*t pedal & tweak its values and components so when you turn up your old fullerton era amp or vintage brit plexi, you can keep the inherent twang and jangle of your guitar but harness that grindy tube clip at decent volume. Got to mention Gretsch, Guild and Gibson hollowboy players.. I have to tell you that if you are an old school Rockabilly Str@yc@ts fan, this pedal will set you and your gretsch square in that early 80s Rockpalast Euro sound that Setzer used to get running his blonde bassman head into a v*x 212 cab. Listen to them do "ubangi stomp" and "storm the embassy" when you get a chance. What a wild rebel sound IMO :) thenocturnebrain.com

its a little easier to get to the controls :) And the internal uppermids boost/cut trimmer that is now a control knob up top is the game changer to me for its interactiveness w tone and gain. I should have done this yrs ago. In the same breath if you have one of the handwired tag board built Ubangi Stomps, DONT sell it. That was so labor intensive back in the day, and it was a team effort w my son etching the tag boards, populating the boards w all the curated components, soldering them etc. He was a high school kid doing this stuff. I guess Im being too sentimental ha! :)

@@beerbilly Thank you for sharing that sentiment! This one was built 8/18 on a PCB so I don't think it is tag board ... but I am still extremely honored to have it and no way am I ever gonna sell it!! Cheers!
