I have to agree. We've watched a bunch of different couples, and Jonathan and Aaron are by far the most open and genuine. We do watch other vloggers, but a lot of them have something a little phony about them. No pretense with these guys. They're just more open and joke around and poke fun at each other.

I agree 💯 love this couple. The other couple I love is Dallas and Blue (sp?). But, there's something very phony about a certain gay couple that I won't mention that have a few kids. Their entire life, home and family are just too perfect and too good to be true.

@@curt5361 yeah I wouldn't publicly criticize anyone specific, I just figure not everyone is everyone's cup of tea. Some of the most popular vloggers are really boring to us while some of the less popular ones are much more interesting. But I think it's just how we each relate to people individually. There's a place for everyone!

To many gay men search their hearts out looking for mister right but when you give up looking mister right will happen. My husband and I met 28 years ago and dated for three months then I moved in with him and in the first month it almost ended but I just sat and waited and now we are married. Communication is a huge part too. we have been married 8 years as of July 26, 2022.

I see married guys and I think it's light years away from my experience. I grew up in a time where the idea of being with a guy was pure fantasy. I would dream about it but deep down I knew it would probably never be. And lo and behold, that's what happened. I know...never say never...but I've had to face the fact that I will more than likely never have the experience you and so many other couples have. One more thing in the regret bucket. On the other hand, it's great to see what is possible for younger gay people.

I'm sorry marriage wasn't in the cards for you but honestly, we know tons of people, gay and straight, who either never married or who did marry but got divorced. I've been married for over 28 years and can say that I am still in love with the woman of my dreams. Nothing is ever perfect but we work for each other, dealing with issues that exist with all people. Do we annoy each other at times? Of course. Do we have times when we would rather not deal with each other? Of course. But, after all these years together we know when it is time to take a little time for ourselves - while enjoying each other the rest of the time. I'm sure it is that way for most couples no matter if it's man and woman, man and man or woman and woman...

I believe that for a relationship to be successful, there must be a shared vision and shared core values. If you don't have those, then there won't be much to hold onto or build with once the romance has worn off. To the singles, for now, rather focus on facing your inner demons, clearing your mind and healing your heart so that you have less baggage to sabotage your next relationship with. Also, if you do this type of clearing you would have stilled the hunger (desperation) in your heart so much that you won't just grab anyone to avoid being alone.
@ryanblack3757

Excellent advice I needed to hear. I was single for an embarrassingly long period of time. I latched onto someone who isn't right for me at all. We have different morals and values. There were alarm bells from the beginning but I chose to ignore them. I can't believe I let him treat me like that and put up with what I put up with. I deserve and need better. Time to learn to love myself more and push forward.
@quintonejantjies680
@quintonejantjies680 2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanblack3757 it is beautiful and great that you learned from your past experiences and that you are able to identify your contribution to things not working out between you two. The thing is, you put up with, what you put up with, and what happened, happened. Realize that if you had a different mindset at the time, you would have handled things differently. So forgive yourself and promise yourself that you will take alarm bells more seriously in the future and then do that. Giving ourselves another chance to do things over or better is also self love; it shows how merciful we can be to ourselves.

Wolverines are cool! The animals not necessarily the students at Jonathan’s high school. Monsoons are not hurricanes or cyclones - those are typhoons. Monsoons are seasonal winds and during the rainy season they bring rain but during the altering dry season they blow towards the sea keeping the rain clouds away. So kinda a lame mascot name.

First of all, where tf was Merlin in this video? No. This is unacceptable guys. Seriously. Anyway, I realised since the previous video that I am an idiot and all your books are available as e-books on amazon. I'm a little wary of buying stuff off amazon because I wonder how much people are being ripped off when they sell their stuff on such a big powerful platform like that, so do you guys get a fair percentage? If not, I'll buy the physical books but I'm trying really hard to avoid that. My library is becoming sentient I'm sure of it. Finally, this was an awesome video (like any of them aren't), but I have to say you guys have been *extremely* lucky. I've been doing all of the things you advised for years (standards? checklist? I'm considering homeless ex-con junkies at this point - I wish that were an exaggeration), I make reasonably good money, I'm smart, educated, reasonably attractive (nobody runs away scared, and I don't have that much trouble getting hookups), I'm a warm, decent, non-judgemental, kind person - but *still* single. I honestly have no idea what more I can possibly do but keep working on myself and waiting. Maybe some of us have to wait until we're too old to enjoy being in love to finally find it?

Life is part effort and part dumb luck. Whatever comes your way, embrace all the blessings and make life fun for yourself, and don't waste too much time dwelling on what-ifs. We know tons of happy unmarried people. There's no pressure to be married or not.

@@tstieber No one is dwelling, I just wanted to point out that there is a very real luck hurdle that needs to be surmounted over which you have no control.
