Omg I’ve never related to a channel so much lmaooo 😂 for me marriage is counter intuitive; true ‘wifey’ material would never ask for a ring. As soon as a ring, wedding, or legally binding contract becomes the priority, I get put on the back burner. If she truly loves you she would never ask for a ring; for example I love football ⚽️ so much I will still train it even if I never get a pro contract. Hell marriage was invented to unite the assets of families (shit even unite armies and create allies amongst royalty in older times), not for any love purposes; it’s strictly business. On top of that, unless you are devoutly religious, obsessing over marriage is complete vanity fuelled by Disney movies. For almost all of marriage history, both participants were virgins before marriage; now pre-marital sex is more prevalent than the flu. That defeats the whole purpose imo 🤟

This remembers me the series Master of None by Aziz Ansari. Spoilers ahead: In the first season he tries to date this WAITRESS, and the things he do, the wait, the "mating dance" is unbeliveable. He takes her to Nashville (after she finally break with her boyfriend) and only gets her around EP 8. Episode 9 is an episode set entirely on his apartment, with the couple daily routine. After a few months, they literally break on the last episode because of differences. A lot of dudes are trying so hard to get into a relationship, just to learn how good being free is.

I’ve had way too many sour conversations regarding prenups and not getting married with exes, marriage unfortunately is a business transaction, if you truly loved me or a person you can be together mutually without state/government involvement. Privately exchanging vows under the eyes of gods is enough imo. I rather invest money that would be spent towards a wedding into tangible assets or leisure/vacation. The marriage fantasy unfortunately has always been for females, I cannot say men are generally excited for large scale weddings and events, hell the whole process is predominantly focused on the pleasure image for women like you mentioned. I’m not jealous nor aggravated about it to each their own but logically it doesn’t make sense.

But it’s working in that , 2 imperfect beings are together for their families ..
