Love this song, love David Phelps, and love your reaction to him. Just a bit of info...the lady playing the trumpet is David's sister (Kari), the guy (Greg Richie) playing the drums is the husband to the lady with red hair (Charlotte Richie, both good friends of David's), and the two young ladys next to Charlotte are David's daughters, Maggie Beth and Callie.

Welcome to the magnificent world of David Phelps! I had the pleasure of seeing his Christmas show in Tulsa a few nights ago. I told my husband as wonderful as David’s voice is, his kind, humble and loving spirit is what makes him so great. He is a very special person ❤

This song was written in the late '70s by David Meece. When I was a teen many decades ago, David was at the Peabody Conservatory of Music (Johns Hopkins University) and would come to our small Baptist church to lead youth and sing. He was my inspiration to get into vocal music. Check out David Meece Album "Are You Ready", this song is on there along with one he wrote while at Peabody as an answer to John Lennon's "Imagine"

David keeps the music in the family. To his left the blond with red earrings is Maggie Beth, his second oldest and the brunette to her left is Callie his oldest. The trumpet player is David’s sister Carrie and the organist is his wife’s cousin, Jack Daniels, yes that’s his name. Carrie and David’s oldest sister Sherri died of breast cancer September 2012. Sherri used to sing back up vocals with David before she got too sick. I’ve really enjoyed you alls reaction to David’s songs and message. People look at me sideways cause i have about a 1.5 hour commute to and from work. That is my prayer closet and worship time. Im driving down the highway listening to David with my hands as high as they can go in the car. Just like when a police officer tells you to "stop" and you put your hands up to surrender, you are doing the same when you worship God and raise your hands, you are surrendering yourself fully to him.
