One of the things is do not make a big deal out of most everything. Couples argued a lot of time with petty stuffs that amount to nothing. Think on the positive erase the negatives, life is too short compares to eternity. Our life span on earth dissipate and disappear quite fast when we look back in life. Spiritual readiness is quite important. Amen

The power of prayer is key. I asked the LORD for help when I suspected my wife of cheating. He answered. As a result I started to look at myself more seeking to effect change. My closer examination of myself along with guidance through faith is beginning to look a lot like what you describe here. It is amazing how ones love for the other grows when one sets out to begin this process. You remember how good it is to be good to your spouse.

I appreciate the idea behind working on PIES. Its true but realistically. I think it all comes down to the hearts and its intentions. Realistically too, what if either one of us is mentally ill, sickly and is dependant on the other? Will they only love us when we are at our best? What about in times of sickness and in times of bad? We come into marriage to also love our spouses even in inconvenience. Thats true love.

I agree all of these are important, but the number one thing women look for in a man is does he make me feel like he could protect me and my possible future children and can he provide for us and give me security. The other stuff means nothing if you can provide and make them feel secure. That is the number one attraction for women.

It depends on the person involved, too, whether they go into the marriage for a long haul or not at the first place, or just quiting when it gets hard. It should be both person willing to work on it because having this similar view. It's about loyalty. Because there will be a case when nomatter what the person do, working on himself/herself, if the other half decided that it's ok to quit nomatter what, then it would not work.

Discovering this is exactly what I need to be doing. I've come to terms with things I did in our relationship and know what needs changed. I have a vision of our future if my wife would reconsider. I have learned two emotions that make me tetter-totter. I've never been able to see what these emotions are doing to me and others before. I'm sad and feel defeated with no hope and I also see there is hope in myself to be stronger. I love my wife and want it to work out but also learning to accept it not working out. I don't want to be in a dark place again. My wife also did things and she confessed infedelity. The situation on that end I am forgiving. But I don't want to be brought down all the time for the things that I only did. I just need to be the real me like I use to be.

My wife HATES it when I work on my PIES and improve myself. Seeing me improving myself makes her feel bad about continuing to do nothing. Seeing me enjoy my hobbies makes her envious that she has no interests she's motivated to pursue. Seeing me do things for myself makes her upset that I am not doing things for her. The great thing though, is that when I am doing what I want to feel good about myself, I am not bothered by her negativity!

Why you want to let the person who cheated on you come back to your life? The betrayal will always there to hurt you, you will never truly trust him again. Once a cheater, always a cheater, he will do it again. You should go on with your own life and find someone who will not cheat on you.

Thats not true, some people learn from their mistakes. I’ve known many couples that have had these issues in their marriage and once they overcame the “cheating” they were stronger than before the incident. That line “once a cheater, always a cheater” is terrible.

The ending of this video is the best part for me. Im going through a difficult time with my husband. From the moment we got married he's never shown interest in my feelings and would bash me every time I was vulnerable with him. I think all of this has accumulated over the years and now the loudest thought in me is leave, he doesn't care about you anyway. I'm constantly needy for affection and he intentionally denies me. I unfortunately began a conversation out of frustration and said alot of mean things to him. Now looking at this video i realise i would have done a better job at approaching the situation and instead focused on better myself and not his weaknesses.

If I apply the pies, would it fix my adulterous husband? It’s not just that he’s never home and miss dinner but he’s detached and unloving to me, and I fear the worst based on his behaviors. I deeply desire to work on myself FOR me and in return help my marriage I will do anything it takes but I am scared.. Hope you reply

Hi. I am a really struggling with this. My ex husband. We were married for 12 year ls and dated for 2,5 years before than hated me intensely. I am an adult child of alcholics. I never knew love. At first I grasped at the attention my ex gave me. But he was so critical, demeaning, controlling and isolating the price I paid was in self worth. He, my ex is now living with another woman from a different religion shortly after we were seperated. He never apologized for harassing me, for the emotional and sometimes physical abuse. I am struggling with this.. This man hates me. How can I ever want to go back to him, let alone love him. All I ever wanted was a family and to be loved. This man tried/is trying to destroy me.

Both my husband and I was too busy with work and kids that after 30 years of marriage he’s emotional checked out and wants a divorce. I’m heart broken because he’s the only one in my life. I don’t know how to get him back to love me again 😢
@SeventimesLighterАй бұрын
@@kimngocqt ignore him and love ourself while being good to him at the same time, don’t chase him. Go out with friends and visit your family no matter how distant they are. Keep updating him on your whereabouts, dress reeeeeally teeeeeealy nicely in the way you know he used to like. Smile and force your tone to be happy always Whenever he brings up divorce matters again you say ok, let me think on my reply get get back to you once I have. This attitude always surprises them. Cry in the corners of your bathroom whenever you have to but DO NOT LET him see your tears or weakness or neediness no matter how sad you are. Be intentional about doing this FOR 10 days, then another 10 days if it’s yet to show a turnarounds sis but make sure you are also doing the opposite of the things he always complied about you

@@SeventimesLighter Thanks so much!!! at first I was angry and hurt. Then I ignored him for a week and went out with friends dressing very sexy, slept in a different room. He ignored me but then one day he came and gave me hugs, but still avoid kissing and any intimacy. I’m sure in his mind he’s thinking that he only loves me as a charity love. I caved, still showing him love but I guess he needs to feel threatened of loosing me. I won’t beg though. I’m an attractive person, fairly successful in career, very good cook, kind and caring too. We didn’t really fight at all, nor I nagged or treated him disrespectfully. It was a shock to me. I wonder if midlife crisis has anything to do with this. He’s not doing anything crazy or having anyone else, just started drinking a lot and wants to be alone. Ugh!

@@kimngocqt good. Now don just do it for a week, sis I’m telling you this because that’s how my husband got back to me. He started calling me “too much and needy” just because he started loving me less than before. I would cry and complain but it only made me look more pathetic to him and It destroyed my self esteem because he was all I had, no friends or family in the city etc so I started going to church and made some friends even though I wasn’t really interested Sometimes I’d fake “hanging out with a friend” but of just go to the beach or cinema and cry, then speak to strangers and have them take happy pictures with me to post on my stories so that he sees me having “fun”. I also dressed up fine and cleaned the house more and made more delicious meals so he knows what he’s about to miss. He would sometimes say he wasn’t hungry and I’ll say okay then “there’s food in the fridge when you’re hungry” and is serve my own meal sooooo nicely and eat it well. Lool all sounds petty but it worked!! Now he’s literally cuddling and making love every night and sending me “I love you texts” when he’s at work. I cave sometimes too but when I see that unloving behavior coming back again, I do all this over and over again. Also make sure you ask him for help to lift heavy items or little things like that to remind him you’re still very feminine Start saying “I feel unloved when you do this to me” instead of saying “you don’t love me” etc whenever there’s an argument I wish you all the best!

@@kimngocqt if he’s drinking a lot he might also be going through something- maybe depression. Even so, give him space. Do the same things no matter how hard!
