This advice is so spot on. I’ve been married for 38 years and can now see all my flaws. Thank you for your wisdom.

People need to learn to genuinely listen to their partners. Refusing to listen with the attitude the they are smarter than their partner is a recipe for ruining the relationship.

Here is the point I think we should ALL remember....why should we not always remember that it's our choice in a relationship to build up our significant other and I do this for my wife because she deserves to be empowered and encouraged. She deserves to be loved despite her imperfections and mistakes. If we only loved people when they did the right things, then the first time ANY of us made a mistake we would be lonely as hell. That's not love then! And I love my wife. I always will. That's why I am standing alone for my marriage. To fight for it, to fight for her, because my marriage and her are worth it. I want her to believe in herself and know that she can turn things around, if she just remembered that she's not alone. That she can do anything if only she would believe in herself. She doesnt need validation from people who don't give a shit about her really when she already had someone she is married to that validates her, that loves her, misses her, and is STILL waiting for her. That STILL needs her. Not for anything materialistic wise, but needs her companionship. That wants her friendship, and her conversation....I want my wife back!!!

Fantastic advise - I had NO IDEA I was doing so many things to reduce my attractiveness to my wife - in hindsight it's obvious, but before Dr. Beam's ingenious advise, I couldn't see it.

I watched this video because my 11 year marriage is almost sexless and I'm physically fit and Ive approached my husband for more frequent sex but he has chosen to withdraw and look at internet ...... I am not even really upset that he looks at it I'm upset that I m not getting laid !!!! I'm faithful and don't look to the internet at all I look to my husband for sexual fulfillment but I'm not getting it. I found the pies extremely helpful and I can see how and why this is happening. I want to thank you very much for opening my eyes and helping me to understand what I can do to get my married life back where it should be!!!! Its going to be a lot of work but I know I can succeed!!!

Thank you for the advice. My wife has recently told me that she is no longer in love with me. Very painful. Looking back it was a series of situations, that lead to this. I can’t change the past, I can’t change how she feels. I can only control myself. But I do love her, and I do want her with me. I will continue to work on myself.

So, how do you have a conversation where you want your partner to change - loose weight, stop drinking, etc. Sometimes having difficult conversations isn't always positive.

What if the way to intellectually attract your spouse eg. speaking about innovative ideas, causes him to get too absorbed into the idea, to the point that it's his primary focus and it's causing lack in other areas. How do you become intellectually attractive while encouraging your spouse to maintain a balance in life?

So is there a correct way to tell your wife that she would look better if she lost a couple of pounds? Or is this a topic that should be entirely avoided? 😂
